    Phew.

It's been a wild year and a half or so. Just wanted to stop by and say I'm presently still alive and am doing better, if anyone ever wondered to themselves, 'where did that Krishna dude run off to'.

Another six days in the hospital...

It's been a trip. That's the best way to describe it. I went back to work for a night and a half. Then it became very, very clear that I was only working because I wanted to, and not because I was in any way healthy enough for it. Just spent six very long days under 24 observation (144 hour observation technically). I'm safe to go home, but not yet in any condition to work. I'm not up to giving a

    I lost my fight

Someone close to me told me this isn't losing, but they say you're your own harshest critic. Last Saturday morning, my mental health decline hit what was rock bottom and, long story short, I put myself in the hospital. The only way to describe the last week would be 'exhausting'. The mental health care system in Newfoundland is barely functional at best and damn near non existent at worst... same

    Alright, here goes

The last thing I wrote and submitted to FIMFiction was on Christmas Eve, 2014. I wanted to try to return to WRTMI then, write another chapter or something before the big rewrite I wanted to do, but it just never happened. The only writing I did last year was basically some 4chan fetish crap, the entire time wanting to continue my main fic but feeling utterly incapable of doing so.

    Some sort of update soon.

Had a bit of a writing renaissance lately. Within the next few days, I'll try and give you guys some insight on what's going to happen. One thing that kept me writing in the past was how it used to bring me some comfort from my day to day life. As that disappeared, as did my urge and ability to write. I'm beginning to get something of a spark again, but I don't yet know if I'm going to finish the

2015

Hey there, folks. · 11:34am Mar 8th, 2015

Been awhile.

Life's been... hectic as usual. This winter has really been kicking my ass. Writing progress has been slow, almost nonexistent, but experienced a brief renaissance recently that I pray will lead to good things. I've been very busy with work lately, but for the time being, lady luck has flipped a face card: I got the job promotion I've been angling for the last year. I'm getting a signifigant wage increase that is going to make all the difference in the world. It's only temporary, unfortunately, as my boss is on sick leave due to a back injury. He could be back tomorrow, or he could be back two years from now. My main strategy is to pay off all my bills, start buying some healthier foods and things that I can prepare myself, and then start banking every cent I make. Living on the poverty line has made me a pro at saving up, I just gotta avoid the lottery curse (someone poor wins the lottery and the money is gone after a couple years).

But hey, I get to turn on my heat without worrying about the electric bill. This is amazing. And random sidebar: I'm learning German now. I use Duolingo, which breaks the lessons down to the basics and have a neat leveling up system and a store to spend earned points (lingots) on. Sorta like a game. It's addicting as hell and has you immediately translate or use any new words or phrases you learn. It's amazing. I've made enormous progress in just a week. This is how those kids on CSI and shit learn like 5 languages by the time they're 26.

It's great to hear from you! And i'm glad things are looking up a bit, you definitely deserve it  Good luck with everything!

That is some kick-ass news, dude, all across the board. Glad to hear things are on an upswing for you!

And I've never heard of that Duolingo site, but just clicking on it... it looks pretty damn useful. I think I just might give it a shot. :pinkiehappy:

Keep taking care of yourself, dude!

2859303 Thanks. Trying my best to keep my spirits up and it's definitely succeeding now.

2859306 Thanks. You should absolutely check it out if you want to learn a new language, it's all free, but there are so many languages they can teach to english speakers. They're adding more, but it's mainly European language. However, people hailing from other parts of the globe and native in different languages have other options on the site.

Wow, congrats on the promotion!!
