So last blog post I presented the possibility of potentially going back and rewriting the fanfic Doctor Whooves: Shadow Of A Ghost and given some the changes I knew would follow, I inquired if anybody had any protests to me doing that.
Only got one response, and he said he was okay with it, so I'm operating on the assumption everyone thinks that, and am now making plans to go forward with this rewrite.
So what does this mean for you?
That if you like Shadow Of A Ghost as it is right now, you best familiarize it as much as you can now, because it won't be staying that way. Though the general plotline will obviously remain much the same, the finer details will change to the point that I expect that, when complete, it will emerge a notably different story...but hopefully very much for the better. When it does, it will replace the story as it currently stands on this site completely.
What sort of changes can you expect then?
What, and spoil the surprise? 
I will give you a few heads-ups, though, and the first is that the Doctor will be portrayed very differently once I'm done with this rewrite, so much so that you probably won't recognize him as the whimsical Doctor I portrayed him before at first. While even I'll be a little sad to see that former portrayal be replaced so soundly, I firmly believe this will be a good thing; I started writing Shadow Of A Ghost with the hope I would create a more "original" Doctor from everybody else's, but I recognize now I failed abysmally at that goal. So I think this new creation will succeed where I hadn't before and be the "original" and "different" Doctor I'm looking for...and yet still remain the same as he always is regardless of what face he wears. Still...the change will be radical enough that, on this fact alone, I AM going to have to redo the cover for the fic...which I don't really want to do but...there's no avoiding it at this point. Beyond that, the fic will also be much more expansive, more detailed and refined, exploring points it had failed to do before or bring in entirely new ones. It will also be darker and more mature, potentially enough that I may need to up the rating...but we'll see.
When can you expect this rewrite to show up?
Dunno just yet. Right now I'm still making plans and taking notes; the actually "rewriting" has yet to begin. Furthermore, I have a few other projects I was already working on that will take precedence, so those will need taking care of first. Once I do begin writing, though, I probably will not begin posting the new material until I have at least most of the fanfic written. This was how I did the original, and it helped me to be able to work things out on the fly and then go back to make changes as new thoughts and ideas struck me without fear of consequences. Thus I'd like to try it again for the rewrite. Hopefully, though, I'll have it ready to begin posting here before too much longer.

Well, I'm surprised I was the only one who commented, but I'm glad I helped you decide which was the best approach. While I to will be sad to see your old Doctor go, I am confidant you can create an interesting and memorable new version to further improve on this already excellent story. I eagerly look forward to the rewrite and I hope when it is all completed you can look over it proudly and know you have created a unique and exciting Doctor Who tale.
And I think I've caught up with you know. Yay!

I just ask for your patience. As much as I'd like it to, this rewrite isn't going to come together all at once, so it'll be a little while still before it materializes on this site.

Hey, since the rewrite probably isn't a thing anymore (and that's totally okay, life happens) I was wondering if you'd be willing to just blog about what the Doctor was going to be like?

Even though I haven't really worked on the rewrite any further since about 2016, I'm not sure I'm ready to declare it defunct and "never gonna happen" just yet, and I sorta wanted to keep this iteration of the good Doctor as a surprise should the story go forward.
I will say that he wasn't a pony.
