Nice! Are you planning on making a sequel? It's a great story and I think there's a lot of potential here. Even once Clover's past has been revealed you could do all kinds of character development and world building. Assuming he stays in Equestria, any way.
On an unrelated note, I can't wait to see Clover's reaction when he realizes he hit the jackpot with his adoptive mother. End up in an alien world and become prince of the most powerful nation on the planet in a matter of days? Lucky bastard.
