Room 213 is getting worked on, but at a super slow rate due to me picking up a third job. There just aren't enough hours in the day.
And my interest in MLP has been waning a bit, but this feeling has come about with every season drought. Although I still haven't seen all of Season Four, yet.
I have a question for you guys. Immediately pressing, the finale of Room 213. I'm trying, I'm really trying, but whenever I pop open the doc to type, I just stare. I can't get myself to put any words down. All the promises I've broken for its release make it even worse.
My New Year's resolution was to write smaller chapters more frequently. Would you guys be opposed if I just started doing that with things like Shylock or other ideas while I work on Room 213 in between? This final chapter is going to be the largest amount of words I have ever released at once.
No argument here.
I know the feeling.
Sorry to hear about your writer's block.
I think it would be a great Idea to work on the other short stories while writing the 213 finale, if only to keep your creativity flowing.
And, hey, you shouldn't feel bad a bout the broken promises. After all, it would be even worse if the new chapter was rushed or lame just to be on time. I'm sure that the finale will be as amazing and fantastic as we've all come to expect, no matter when it comes out. So, take your time; we can wait a little longer.
i love Room 213 but I've been waiting on Shylock for what seems like an eternity so I have no problems with this.
Never force it man. I love Room 213, and I'd love to see a new chapter, but feeling obligated to write something instead of feeling excited to write something is only going to make it hard to write -- and very hard to write well.
Don't worry about self-imposed promises. We're all friends here :) Take your time, get in your groove, do your thing, and it'l be twice as good as you imagine when you find that inspiration.
O-khaaay... And I wanted to ask you to continue this story anyway. Now that I know your problems, it makes me calmer.
I won't give you any good advices like the rest here, though, it never works. Only that get your shit together IRL first.
Regarding your question - yes do make smaller chapters, that'd make us see better that you're not in coma etc. Especially if it makes you more comfortable.
Remember - we, the readers, will not judge you. Only your work ;p
PS: You are getting THIRD JOB?!
