I'm sorry for not posting this sooner but things have been a bit rough at home and I needed to get my head on straight before offering an explanation to you guys. But first, please enjoy this adorable image that should hopefully dissuate you from killing me, it has pancakes...
Feeling better, okay now to explain, obviously Christmas happened and then New Years, but afterwards I lost my job, (again) and had to go back to the Job Centre for support. Shortly after that I got depressed, REALLY depressed. I dont think I've actually been that depressed before in my life, thankfully I managed to pull out of it with my brothers help.
I've also been working on a youtube channel which has taken up alot of my time recently. It's actually given me some direction and I hope to make it into a career once its fully up and running. The channel is set, as are the associated social media. I would have had a video up as well but my fancy recording and editing software didnt come with a product key so I've been pulling my hair out getting that sorted.
Buuuut, now I have it working I should finally be able to get a video up. Once thats done I'll link it in a blog post and you can all here the sweet molasses that is my voice.
Once more I apologise for such a wait, the chapter is finally finished and I've sent links to the proofreaders so it should be up very soon.
Please forgive me for such a delay.
YouTube channels are certainly popular now, but how do you plan on turning that into a job? I've heard it's tough now.
2783015 I'm going to try my hardest, I'm also going to see if I can get some advice and help from other youtubers, Matpat on Game Theory has helped new channels before so I was going to get his advice. That being said I'm not putting all me eggs in one basket as I'm still looking for a more traditional job.
2783046 I don't know everything, but I do know that doing a let's play channel is probably not the right way to start (if you were going to). I personally have seen a rise in popularity with talking about video games history, design, reviews etc...
Pick a niche maybe. Most talk about Nintendo tittles, which is fine and all, but that means plenty of other game companies are left out of a loop. A loop that many of us wish to see filled.
I have enjoyed reeding you story, and I am hoping to see more chapter in the near future, but don't feel rush in doing it,I prefer that you enjoy doing it than feel pressured into doing it. For your lost of job and your depression, I can very much sympathize with you, the feeling of being powerless in your destiny. Just try to hang in there and keep find support as you have in your brother, and don't let dispaire overwhelm you. I wish you best of luck in this Youtube channel.
No, it's no good; I can't be even slightly annoyed when there are in pancakes to be had.

Nice to hear you're on YouTube now though. If you can find a niche and start to get some attention, you have the potential to do quite well. But I do urge caution; don't think it will succeed overnight or that it will definitely work. Always have a backup plan. In any case, I wish you good luck and I look forward to reading the next chapter.
2783058 I was planning to focus on indie, free and low cost games. The idea being you dont need to spend alot of money to play agreat game on PC and console.
2784653 I dont intend to put all my eggs in one basket, I'm still applying for traditional jobs in the meantinme and I'm going to do some voluntary work as well. But now my software works my first video should be out some time soon.
