Learn to love the writing, of telling a story that you want told, and not the recognition that comes with it. When skill and passion atrophy, write for yourself, and in time, you'll inspire others.

    Calling all my Former Proofreaders

This goes out to everyone who has helped me with my stories these past few years. Firstly, thank you so much, I could never have gotten as far as I have without you. You've been inspirational, a pick-me-up, and oftentimes good friends when it came to what I was writing and dealing with, as have all the fans who have read my works. Again, I thank you all for being there with me through

Wow, it's been nearly a year since my last blog post. Time sure has flown this year, what with two jobs, a lot of work on some of my stories, and a great deal of time spent trying to make sure it all comes together.

    Commissions and Rules

Should I take them? I have been contacted in the past concerning them, though decided against it at the time, and would be tickled pink if people actually wanted me to do such. However, I would likely have a few ground rules.

Concerning My Writing Schedule · 3:54pm Feb 9th, 2015

Well, I don't wish to alarm anyone with that title: I'm not stopping writing, not even close. I am, however, refraining from publishing chapters of A Dragon's Journey, if only because I usually self-impose the need for me to write them and publish them ASAP, which I feel not only detracts from the process of crafting them, but also rushing the story itself.

If you go back and compare the earlier chapters that were published nearly back to back, and those that were a bit more spread out, you'll see what I mean: somewhat sloppy for some of the earlier ones. I have no desire to churn out chapters every week or two or even three, seeing as that is nowhere nearly the amount of time I need to full flesh out what I have planned for each chapter. That, and it can get hard just connecting it all together: this story is pretty draining to continue at such a rate.

So, for the time being, ADJ will be on the back burner of my projects for the time being, or at least, it will be in regards to updates. I'll still be writing it, just not letting you all see that for a bit. I will be working on other, somewhat smaller projects in the meantime, including a new one-shot specially made for my buddy Mr101, which should be ready later this week. So to those of who have enjoyed ADJ, I'd suggest rereading it in the meantime; as an avid reader myself, rereading a story can help to give you a greater insight as to the story as a whole.

Okay what else... oh yeah, as for these smaller projects, the reason or these is simply because I want to keep up my writing skills and (hopefully) improve them by branching out a bit more. By being able to focus on these "smaller" stories, I hope to learn how to more "naturally" write (if that's even a thing), as sometimes I just have no will or desire to write, or at least, when I sit down at my laptop. Also, some of these projects will likely not be published (depending on their size) until I feel they are ready, and for a select few, that means when they are complete or near completion. That way, I could put out a chapter every few days or something, having already written said chapter and such.

This brings me to my final point: it seems no matter what I write, be it a one-shot or a lengthy novel, people always seem to want more. While I do find this somewhat flattering (okay, maybe a lot), it can be troublesome to my brain to hear people asking for sequels to stories I intended to be simple one-shots. Not everything I write has to be a giant novel, and what's worse is that, as I write these stories, I can always see how to easily turn them into such novels. I have no real desire for this: if I say a story is basically done or is as good as it's going to get, then it is. I know it's hard, seeing as people have told me in PMs and comments and such that many of my stories are highly entertaining, but I really can't just make stories like some writing wizard. If I could write as fast as I could come up with ideas, and write good at that, then this site would be inundated literally once or twice a week.

But I can't do that: I'm nowhere near that prolific (or good), so I'll be satisfied with what I can do, when I can do it. All I ask is that you, the fans, can be too. There are plenty of ideas I've skipped over, good ideas to boot, that I'm sure people would have loved, yet I skipped over them because people wanted more of what I'd already made, not more of what I could make. Some of these stories I'm reviving, if only because I wish to try my hand at them as well.

TL:DR ADJ is on the backburner, I have other small projects I'd like to do, thanks for the support but please stop asking for sequels on everything I write. I'll let you know if it is destined for a sequel or not.

What we need is clones so we can keep up with everything we want done.

2782338 Yes, so long as they all belong to the same hive mind or had simple, one-track minds. Otherwise, one would rebel or something and possibly kill the others, including the original.

2782878 It would be glorious!

hmmm, will this blog have a sequel?:trollestia:

i understand if you want to hold back so you can keep crafting them. I just hope you don't take forever in doing so.:raritywink:

Meh, i suppose i could reread ADJ again. if anything, for a few of the sex scenes and some ponies' reactions.
