Apologies · 2:36pm Feb 6th, 2015
Hello my faithful viewers. I would like to take a little time to apologize to you all. I know I haven't been updating A New Conflict nearly enough and I'm sorry for that. It's just...I've lost some of the passion for it. I'm not abandoning it, oh no definitely not. {Rika would probably strangle me if her daddy didn't get his story finished. That and maybe seeing her daddy again. Who could say no to such a cute little girl.} It's just I didn't have the will to really continue it.
Until two days ago...I would like to say that I am going to publish today, but for some reason, something went into my thumbdrive and screwed up all of my files. {Including both A New Conflict, and the information on Shimmerverse's Equine morphs.} So, now I have to start that chapter back up from scratch since I had to just delete it. So now I'm put back into a bit of a rut here and it might take some time to get out of it. Hopefully sometime later this month, maybe sooner.
This does not mean I will turn away crossovers or characters appearing on other stories. If authors want me to write with them, I'd be most happy to help. It's just the motivation to work solo in the pokeverse right now is lacking. I really want to say that I am sorry for this. I feel terrible for disappointing the fans of this story. I didn't want to do that.
I want to thank you for reading it and sticking with it. It will continue, I promise.
Ah shuks, I hope you can be back on shape in due time.
Yet, is good to know you are still around, good luck Evo!
Uh, I had a similar problem last year. For some reason, my 8GB thumbdrive lost a lot of memory sectors, data just vanished, and when I tried to format it, it said this drive only has 2GB... all my school data, savegame backups, some music and lots of personal data just ceased to exist. whole exam presentation had to be made again. (I had another backup of it, but it was several days old.) since then I am always doing cloud backups of important data, every chance I got.
And don't feel bad. I am still behind on one simple picture for someone, but due to exams, I lost ANY motivation to do anything besides reading.
I hate when that happens. It happened to me with a final project before due. Ah!
What I learned and would like to pass on to you: embrace back-ups and online storage: Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox offer directory sync services that come in handy. Personally, I use Git repositories because they allow versioning (and because I'm weird).
