Are you trying to one-up knighty by being semi-competent at the design of the site?
Nothing good ever comes from that, FiMFiction is a dictatorship ruled with an iron fist. We just don't notice because of the pretty ponies.

Anyway, the site could use some improvements, but I fear that the servers could stand another update without breaking something.

Logos seem like the best choice. In retrospect, I'm not sure why we didn't start with logos.

Well, logos might make the site more difficult to navigate for new viewers, but I feel they do much more good than harm.
But the fixes are fairly minor anyways, and it there's one thing I've learned from my mediocre education in coding, it's that formatting changes are the most annoying effing thing to do. The drop-down menu idea wouldn't be too hard though... At least, I don't think it would be. I'm still trying to cycle through ArrayLists in Java, I dunno.

As long as it doesn't take a metric ton of time to code, than I'm sure that these changes would be implemented given that knighty has the chance. As a side note, please stop doubting yourself sarcastically. Abusing someone else is so much more fun. ^^ *Sarcasm*
