Behind The Scenes: "Bar None" · 3:34pm Feb 3rd, 2015
This story has a interesting origin, and I wish to share it with you.
A long time ago (Christmas Day 2014 to be precise) A thread was put on /r/MyLittlePony. This thread was a weekly story thread, where members would create fanfiction about each other. Two members in particular are important to this: Hclegend (Me) and NOTShutup868. Together, we created "Rarity and Applejack WILL Be Together!" which you might of guessed, was a fanfic about getting them together. There was a sequel in the works, but unfortunately was never completed. A fun fact to note however, was that I sent NOTShutup868 the first and final drafts of Bar None to proofread. The reason why I didn't mention this in the description is because I didn't know he had a FiMFiction account.
Another fun fact is how originally, Starlight Speedster was going to land on a cloud and wake Rainbow Dash up, rather than encountering her in The Dead Horse. Also, the twist ending was originally a declaration of love from Applejack, but I felt it went against the Element of Honesty. I like the joke ending better anyway.
