Brony Parenting Epilogue... · 3:51am Feb 2nd, 2015
Chapter 15 is moving more slowly than I would like, despite two caffeine-fueled writing binges over the weekend. There is one scene in particular that I absolutely must get right. Thankfully, I have wonderfully talented friends to help me. I'm still hopeful that I am able to finish writing and earn IsabellaAmoreSirenix's approval during the next week, but it will all depend on a less insane week in real life.
Both home and work went a little crazy... nothing bad, just that I have a few things in my life that are higher priority than ponies (just sayin').
Psst... since you are all followers, you get the rest of the hint that I dropped in the story's comment feed: The scene consuming so much of my time is Sonata Dusk's trip to Big Macintosh's room in the farmhouse's basement.
I'll close this short entry with two notes. First, I hope you all saw the Mane 6's appearance in a Super Bowl advertisement tonight. Daughter of Conning Officer and I went a little crazy. Mrs. Conning Officer rolled her eyes.
Finally, here's the finished, fired product from the pottery adventure a few weeks back. Not a bad sixth grade art project. Too bad I'm **age redacted but face it, I'm old** Enjoy!
I did too. Three people watching it rolled their eyes. I was like FFFYES.
Well, and then there was my team taking it home hard, and #Punchgate.
It was a pretty good year, and a good Superbowl.
I had to hear about the ad from EqD. The folks I watched with kept flipping channels during the commercials.
Yes, that MLP portion in the middle of the Superbowl was great. It definitely was a good game, and a really close one too, unlike last years. Slightly disappointed that my team lost, but after that fight broke out, they also lost a little bit of my respect for them. I wish teams knew how to keep things cleaner. That part resembled a friggin' Seahawks/49ers game. I get the rivalry, but jeez, they take it a little far.
Either way, I'd like to extend my congratulations to the Patriots on the win. It was a good game, and they played really well. If only Wilson didn't throw it in both definitions of the term right at the end.
Enough about football. Onward to ponies. First of all, the Sunset Shimmer clay model certainly didn't turn out bad. I mean, I'll be honest: it's not exactly a work of Michelangelo, but that's definitely pretty good for what you had to work with.
Also, I guess we're back on football again; the ponies had colts outfits on, which is both clever and a relief. I think if they had taken sides flame wars would have broken out. Also, it didn't take long to pop up on the 'Booru.

And as for your writing: don't worry, I'm sure everything will work itself out in the end... After I rip it apart, of course.
Until next time, au revoir!
2763605 I'm sorry I failed miserably in my attempt to explain both your topics via PM. I'll keep trying!
2763513 I'm grateful you ripped apart some of my writing in the scenes I'm writing. It helped a lot (and thanks for being relatively gentle). Thanks for giving me a passing grade on the art project. I'm sure it's a gentleman's "C". Daughter of ConningOfficer likes it, so that's the most important thing. <sigh> Football - I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, so I'm used to futility. I think I have more of a chance of meeting Twilight Sparkle than seeing a Browns championship before I die.
2763315 2763264 The Super Bowl ad eyeblink makes me laugh each time I watch it. What I didn't realize until you linked to the looping animation is just how everyone is shocked at Pinkie Pie's overreaction! Duh, it's PINKIE! Hey, I was just overjoyed to see the Castle of Friendship in the background, so I knew it was new art!
All right... time to see if I can make some headway on Chapter 15 before my eyelids dictate differently...

>touching the remote during the Super Bowl
Murder them all.

... Now I want to write a Pony on Earth story where we go to my parents' house for the Super Bowl and everyone is like o_o at me, Pinkie, and my mum screaming at the TV.
2763513
Well your team sux, lol.
I gotta say the sliding catch at the end that put them on the 2 was pretty good. Not gonna lie.
2765708 Eh, you never know who might make it past the play-offs. Maybe they'll get lucky one year!
Not everyone was shocked at Pinkie's little overreaction... Look at Rainbow.
2765728
Heh, well, if you're trying to start a flame war, I'm afraid I'm the wrong person. Not only am I too laid back to really get worked up, but I'm also not really that big of a fan of football. I kinda just go "I was raised in Washington, so I might as well root for them..."
2765749
I just feel like it's obligatory.
2765720
That seems like an extreme over-reaction.
2765840
No it's not.
XD
Nice sculpture, though the eyes scare me a bit...like piercing my soul through the monitor almost.
Also yeah, I was linked to the super bowel ad time. It was like half a second, or a second, of a clip amidst other clips. But what a glorious half second or so it was.
