Okay, opening salvo: Please don't spoil Episode 100 for me! Daughter of ConningOfficer and I have a date tomorrow morning to check it out on the DVR. As I'm about to show you, we had more pressing engagements today. As just about everyone knows, my daughter's random YouTube clicking opened the door to the fandom for me, and Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer started as my attempt to explain to her the significance of Rainbow Rocks' ending. Here she is making her own Element of Harmony...
So, in the midst of weekend event planning, we stumbled across an event at the local history museum offering free admission to (get this) a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic spin on local history and industry. I kept my "squee" of excitement inside, and pitched it to Miss Thing, who eagerly accepted. We had a great time, and the event was almost too successful because it became very crowded. It was cute, and a very good effort. The Mane Six were all represented. Highlights included a cosplay Rarity performing face painting, a cosplay Applejack (and her 10-year-old daughter) brought produce from their farm and explained regional agriculture, two young ladies in amazing suits/costumes of Twilight and Rainbow Dash, along with a multitude of kid activities. The only disappointment: the face painter didn't know how to draw Sunset Shimmer's cutie mark, so my daughter settled for Rarity's diamonds. She was so exhausted and happy that she slept through dinner out, which has never happened before. Okay, this concludes this domestic update. I need to get back to work writing Chapter Twenty-Five, and thank you all for the robust speculation on what's going to happen in the wake of Chapter Twenty-Four's cliffhanger!

This makes me want to make my own Element, too! SilverSlinger had a very nice Twilight Giant-Crown-Thingy-shaped ring that I loved; unfortunately, it was one of a kind, I believe.

Thanks, everyone! 3148197 and 3148171, we had a great time yesterday, and managed to follow it up by watching the 100th episode twice this morning. Though, I admit that I laughed harder than anyone else in the house, because of all the fandom inside jokes. I just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you to everyone for taking the time to comment. I'm tagging everyone for brevity's sake.
Yes, I'm biased, she's pretty cute, but she has moments (with increasing frequency) when I get a glimpse of how she might act as a teenager, and it terrifies me! I'll take the Saturday morning pony time as long as it lasts...
