My first novel is now released

Some of you might remember that I've been working on a novel for a while. After years of hard work, this novel, Opt Out, is now released. You can get it over at https://roryprice.net/store/ and pay what you want for it. You can even download it for free and later decide how much you think it's worth.

I'm back, and I have a new fic coming

    Hey guys.

I haven't been on Fimfiction in a while, and I'm sure a lot of you don't remember subscribing to me and will wonder who the hell I am as this blog post shows up. I've been away from the fandom for about two years, but I had another fanfic idea, and I figured I'd give it a shot.

A little update about my book

This is just a little update about what's going on with me. I already told you guys that I was working on a novel, and it's going very well. In fact, a publisher just showed interest in the project. Obviously, it's too early for me to give any details, but things are looking bright.

Thinking Back on A Dream of Sunny Days

I promised a retrospective for A Dream of Sunny Days, so here goes. It goes without saying that this will contain a ton of spoilers, so I suggest not reading this unless you read the whole story.

    All that's left is editing.

It took forever, but I got all the feedback I wanted for Sunny Days, and I rewrote everything the way I like it. Now, all that's left is to edit the remaining chapters, of which there are four left. (Plus a short epilogue) It might not look like much, but it's a pretty big milestone for me. I will try to release the chapters as fast as I can, but both the friend who helps me edit and I work full

The next chapter will be delayed · 8:31pm Jan 12th, 2015

Hey guys, just a little heads up.

I recently submitted A Dream of Sunny Days to EQD and it was rejected. While they obviously did not give me the answer I was hoping for, they did supply the reasons as to why it couldn't make the cut. I gave it some thought and looked over older chapters. I do agree with the criticism given. To be honest there was something I didn't like about what I had written so far and I think the prereader who reviewed it pinpointed some of the story's main issues.

I took some time to think about it and talked to a few friends, I think I'll give a shot at reworking the published chapters in order for the story to make the cut. Even if it doesn't, I do think improving it can only be a good thing. I get that some of you are looking forward to future chapters, and I apologize that you might have to wait longer for them. I'll keep updating this blog regularly and let you guys know about my progress.

I also wanna thank all of you who have been reading the story so far. I do hope you understand the choice I'm making here. For those of you who will choose to re-read the chapters as I improve them, I hope you enjoy it. For those of you who want to wait for the newer content, I can definitely understand that and do promise you that I'll do my best to get you new chapters sooner rather then later. If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, feel free to reply here, leave a comment on the story or shoot me a pm.

I am also aware that reworking the story is no guarantee it'll get on EQD. Still, I'm a perfectionnist and I should take full advantage of any opportunity I have to improve.

Sorry to hear EqD rejected the story. I for one, think it's way better than most fics they endorse. Can't wait to read the updated chapters though!

They actually had some good arguments for it. Although anything creative will always be subjective, I do admit I have a lot to learn about writing technique, how to write good descriptions, how to make dialogue flow, that kind of stuff. Either way, thanks for the vote of confidence.
