Ho ho howdy, y'all.
I absolutely adore the Christmas season. Everything about it. From the crisp, white snow that twinkles in the rainbows of festive lights to the smells of gingerbread and pine and warm apple cider to the nights where you fall asleep huddled close to the fireplace waiting for Santa as a nutcracker stands guard on the mantle. It's a very special time, and I feel like celebrating with all of you. So, in addition to participating in The Descendant's "If You Would Consider a Santa Hat" initiative, I've got my own little plan to bring out the holiday spirit just a little more.
Starting on December 14th I will be posting one story a day right up until (and including) Christmas Day. All of them will be festive, fun, and fuzzy. All of them will be Christmas/Hearth's Warming-themed. All of them will be happy. All of them will also probably be short, but I make no guarantees there. The important thing is that they'll all be written with the intention of celebrating the season to the fullest.
And that's it! Basically a Christmas version of One-Shotober, only with fewer stories to write and more of a single, connecting theme to all the stories. And if any of you feel like joining me in this festive crusade, by all means! The more the merrier! There are no strict rules to follow—heck, you could even post one chapter a day of a twelve-chapter Christmas story if that's more your style—so go wild. As long as what you're doing pumps more life and magic in the Christmas season, I'm all for it.
Not that I expect anyone else to partake, of course. I'm just doing this for the fun of it! Hope y'all like the idea as much as I do.
