So, the other day I got a PM from one of my readers, sbloom85, and he offered me a rough draft of a clop scene he had written, involving Alex and Dash, and a possible 'first time' they they could have shared in the rewrite timeline. I told him i would edit it, and he offered to let me post it myself.
So, I'm just wondering how It would be received by you guys, if I posted a chapter between the two of them. I'd likely format and shape it to look like one of my own chapters.
If i were to toss it out, sbloom85 would be my coauthor on it's page.

Well, I'd say if you get it approved from him that you can post it as your own while you credit him properly, it should be no problem.
As for the rating, well... there is a reason there's a rating system on this page
Regardless what we think about it, this is your story and if you wanna post it with credit given when credit is due, go ahead. If people dont want to read it they can skip the chapter, but in my opinion it would add more to the romance of Dash and Alex as a couple cause we can, no pun intended, "go for a ride", on the awkward train for the Alexs' first time being with a pony. It would also explain some of the pics on his phone.
So far this story has managed to keep itself out of the clop zone, while still making heavy innuendos and provocative statements. In my opinion, I think the story should stay that way, and not go into anything explicit. Not that I don't like clop, it's just that the story has already been going so long, avoiding clop, that it doesn't need to start including some. Including clop just one time will only make room for more down the road, and I'd hate to see that happen after this story has managed to be clop-free.

Honestly, I was right there with you on that. I love making all the dirty jokes, and referencing the sex, but never ever felt comfortable taking it further with my main story.
But, that being said, in the rewrite (Off the Record,) I wanted to have a scene where they exploded in anger at each other, only to end up making out and making up.
This is essentially that... with an extra step. And I honestly like their exchange a whole lot. It's no so much about sex, as it is about awkwardly admitting their feelings to each other. It's been good enough to tempt me in to posting it as it's own story. it'll only be there if you want to read it. I'd NEVER change any of my stories to M rated.
2624528 If I'm correct, I think you'd be able to get away with keeping it rated Teen if the sexual activity wasn't very detailed, but I digress. I'd more enjoy the idea of posting it as it's own side-story, as an optional "insert" between where they were a couple and, well, where they weren't. Of course, that'd require actually making it its own side-arc, which would mean a lot more writing than just inserting it into a chapter, so that'd rely on whether you're willing to put in that much effort.

Well, there's a bit too much detail for Teen.
But, I've put lots of effort in to make sure it's less about sex, and more about the two of them. Honestly, i think sex can be super useful in a story.
But, you know. Ponies is weird.
And yeah, that would be a little too much effort to do a new arc when I'm asking others to write the sex scenes. haha.
On a side note, Lost on the Way Home by Chromeo is a super baller song.
Do not leave any details out, oh and maybe add some harmonious magic at the end?
