No, it'll be essentially the same. With a few minor changes here and there, and a lot of content skipped. It'll look VERY similar. The slight changes just might change the outcome, because I'm a little stuck on how i want it to end, to be honest.

Ok, so I know I gave the original an extremely bad review, but i'll be perfectly honest about this one.
I kinda like it. So far that is. Grabbed my attention, held it hostage, and made me want to know more. Even managed to get a few laughs out of me at the end there. So unlike the previous version, I will be reading some more of this than just the first chapter. Hope it only gets better from here!

Huh...that was confusing. I saw the title in Popular Stories and went "Wait, did some asshole just rip-off OTR?"
Then I realized it's still you and calmed right down. But...does that mean the original won't be continued? I mean, I didn't really have a problem with it to begin with, even with all the side-but-not-quite-side stories. To have to start all over again like that, knowing it'll take a while (likely a LONG while even with sped-up revisions) to get back to where it was...I'll be honest, that'd suck.
I mean, I'll read this eventually, don't get me wrong here. But, when eagerly and patiently awaiting the next chapter suddenly becomes "Well, now I have to wait until this story manages to catch up" when said original story, I shit you not, is nearing HALF A MILLION WORDS (combining the side-stories,426648 to be exact...yeah, I felt like putting that into a calculator to confirm it) and still not done yet (...by the way, kudos for nearing that threshold) would kinda put me off from reading this until it nears the original's timeline.
I feel bad saying this, I really do, but if this is meant to indefinitely halt the original and replace it, I won't be reading it yet cause I don't feel the need to re-read a story as giant as this when it never finished yet. Maybe this sounds a bit selfish (and it probably is), but it's going to bug me if I don't say it since the fate of the original is unknown right now.
Edit: Never mind, I'm a fucking idiot that didn't read the blog posts first. Ignore my silly rambling. ^_^

I'll be assuming that in a future side arc of the original Off the Record, Alex 1 will be sent back to Earth. In this side arc, maybe Alex 1, Dash 1, TT and Derpy will recruit Alex 2 and Dash 2 to fight the eldritch abomination.

While I'm not going to rule that out as a possibility, I had some other plans for the big ending in the original story. Something that might not even be possible under most circumstances.
So, I'm going to do try for this ending first. But, should things not work out with that ending, (Which is likely,) I'll start looking at some ideas, such as that one.

I can appreciate pressing the reset button on this. But still, it's gonna take a while to get back to where you were, if you still want to go in that general direction, especially with the whole Discord thing (which was a great arc, IMO).
