Plan of The Flutterarc - Part 1 · 11:24pm Nov 26th, 2014
Introduction: This is the first part of my mapping-out of my retelling of MLP:FIM from the point of view of Fluttershy Wind, which I call The Flutterarc. This incorporates both (my interpretation of) canon, my own fanon and (sometimes highly) modified bits of the fanon of others -- most obviously Bad Horse and Chengar Qordath).
Chronology:
Collateral Damage and Fluttershy Is Free (side note, flashback, YOH 1479)
Fluttershy is sired upon Sweetwing Wind outside Hive Chrysalis-Prime, by a Changeling Royal.
Collateral Damage (side note YOH 1480)
Fluttershy born to Sweetwing Wind in Cloudsdale.
Fluttershy Is Free (reference YOH 1481)
Sweetwing Wind is divorced for infidelity and her daughter Fluttershy (age 1) repudiated for bastardy by Sweetwing’s husband, leaving Sweetwing to raise her foal alone.

Rainbow Dash (age 7) meets, befriends, starts protecting Fluttershy (age 9).
“The Cutie Mark Chronicles” (flashback, YOH 1490)
Fluttershy (9 going on 10) gains her Cutie Mark in Rainbow Dash’s first Sonic Rainbow, discovers the glories of living on the ground.
The Life and Times of a Winning Pony (Shadow Wars mainline version, YOH 1490)
Rainbow Dash (7 going on 8) rescues Fluttershy from Cloud Kicker (14) who has just merged with Winning-Through-Degradation in a confrontation which leads to an all-out battle. Rainbow Dash is seriously injured but manages to prevent Cloud Kicker from seducing and Winning from infecting the young Fluttershy.
Love Amongst Monsters (unpublished flashback, YOH 1492)
Fluttershy (age 12) fends off attempted rape by her first cousin Ill Wind, first manifesting The Stare in her own defense. She inadvertently gelds Ill Wind with her geas for over a decade and a half.
Fluttershy Is Free (flashback YOH 1494)
Fluttershy (age 14) discovers that she is half-Changeling.
Fluttershy’s Night Out / A Robust Solution (main / flashback Summer YOH 1496)
Fluttershy (age 16) is seduced and deflowered by “Nosey,” becomes terrified of other Ponies, begins living as a hermit.
A Robust Solution (implied backstory, Summer YOH 1499)
Rarity (17) graduates from the Fillydelphia Fashion Institute, return to Ponyville and opens the Carousel Boutique. She renews her friendship with Fluttershy (age 19), begins to draw her out of her shell.
Friendship Is Magic / Nightmares Are Tragic (June 21st-22nd YOH 1500)
The Return and Liberation of Luna. Fluttershy (age 20) attunes with the Element of Kindness.
“Griffon The Brush-Off” (~ Aug 1st YOH 1500)
Fluttershy frightened by Gilda Griffon. The synergy between Fluttershy’s emotional manipulation and Pinkie Pie’s causality manipulation shatters Rainbow Dash’s friendship with Gilda.
“Dragonshy” / Dragonshyness (~ Sept 1-2 YOH 1500)
Fluttershy defeats Red Haze the Dragon by means of her Stare, regains Rainbow Dash’s admiration. Their friendship starts to become increasingly romantic.
“Swarm of the Century” (~ Sept 21st, YOH 1500)
Fluttershy’s Changeling-Royal instincts begin to surface and are misapplied to a swarm of Parasprites, whose breeding in Ponyville she inadvertently encourages.
A Robust Solution (~Oct 1st, YOH 1500)
Fluttershy confides in Rarity the story of her seduction by Nosey. Rarity explains to her how Pony courtship works, and Fluttershy realizes that she is loveable. Fluttershy's friendship with Rarity greatly strengthened.
Fluttershy Is Free (~Oct 14th-15th, YOH 1500)
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash travel together to witness the Butterfly Migration. Their romantic friendship deepens.
Four Mares in the Swamp (unpublished, Winter, YOH 1500-1501)
Fluttershy accompanies Applejack, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash on an expedition to the Evergloom in search of Landscape Carrot, terrifying Hive Evergloom even though they do not even suspect its existence. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash declare their love.
Conclusion: My plan is to take the first part of the Flutterarc through A Canterlot Wedding, which is when the secret of her Changeling heritage is revealed to the Princesses and the Mane Six, with terrible effects on Rainbow Dash's love for her. I already know that certain episodes will be crucial here, particularly "Stare Master," "Green Isn't Your Color," "The Best Night Ever," The Return of Harmony, "Hurricane Fluttershy" and of course A Canterlot Wedding itself, which in particular needs to be told from Fluttershy's POV. Any suggestions?

You're right. A Bird in the Hoof because Fluttershy dares Celestia's wrath to do what she thinks is right, and MMDW because of the conflict with Rainbow Dash.

In my continuity she's destined to play a major role in ending two wars, Windvane's Rebellion of 1512 and the Great Changeling War of 1513-1515.
