So yea, in case anyone was wondering, progress has resumed on Room for Rent. I took a short break off after the last chapter, and ran into some bad financial problems. Thus is the economic roller coaster that is retail employment. One month you are pulling 40 hours, and catching up on your bills, the next you get cut to 16 hours with no explanation, and are looking at losing your car and possibly your home. Fuck Retail.
So after a small loan from family to shore things up, I'm getting back on the horse and riding the fuck outta Pencils. Putting in job apps, passing out resumes, and more importantly, I'm back to writing. Hey, since I suddenly have more free time, I damn well need to make good use of it, right?
So in short, I hope to have the next chapter out by the end of the month, but no promises. The bad news is, that means I'm fresh outta ideas for new chapters.
So, suggestions?

Louis meets Gilda.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders join the Ponyville High Sensha Do team and ask Pinkie to be their coach.
Hmm, have Cheese Sandwich come over to visit finally, maybe headlining some party? Have awkward sexual tension antics ensue. Either Pinkie and Cheese get "reacquainted" and it's Louis's turn to hear the bed rocking through the walls and somehow Louis actually feel a bit jealous... Or maybe instead have Cheese be a little jealous of Louis and rude to him, but whacky and crazy and loveable to everyone else? Lots of ways you could handle that one.
That or you could do the other end of the spectrum and have Louis meet Pinkie's parents?
Hmm, Mr.s and Mr.s Cake have a falling out and one of them comes to live with Pinkie and Louis.
You could go extra tropey and have both Pinkie and Louis turn what should have been a routine trip to the bank into an accidental bank heist hold up, and they are now on the run from the law?
Maybe get really awkward and have someone point out that Pinkie's Cutie Mark looks less like three balloons and more like funny colored sperm under a microscope (I kid about this one, please don't)
You could also go with the ever famous, Louis and Pinkie wake up together in bed tangled in the sheets from a blackout-drunk night of extreme partying with really bad hangovers only to find a legit legal marriage certificate between the two of them along with rings and a Polaroid or video of the drunken "I Do" and kiss, but that reveals little else. So they have to retrace their steps through the night of hazy drunken memories to find out how it all happened and also figure out what to do about getting the marriage nullified, with Pinkie suddenly no so sure she wants to end it.
Need any other ideas?

Louis and Pinkie take a three hour tour.
Twlight drops by.... to inform Louis that his new "job title" is actually closer to lab rat in her interdimensional breeding experiments. Pinkie glady volunteers to track him down after his emminate escape.
Look into gas stations. Yeah its retail, but your hours are set and the pay is decent.

2476703 ooh, some really good ideas there! I especially love the idea of Cheese getting involved, especially since I haven't really decided how he is taking Pinkie pretty much dumping him at this point. Oh, and now I have to do a "Hangover" chapter.
Generally speaking, I am most likely not going to do a Meet Pinkie's parent;s episode, since the way i wrote them, Pinkie is really not on good terms with them. "THEY'RE ALL GONNA LAUGH!"

2476820 Not in my state. There is no full service anywhere, so most gas stations are just attached to convenience stores, or one guy in a booth that takes money. Pay is on the par with fast food, and hours are complete shit. My mom and many friends can testify to this.
I make $10 an hour, so i can live if only I get enough hours. I'm looking for full time employment, because part time and never knowing what my schedule is from one week to the next is what's killing me. I joke often that they make my schedule with a dart board because of how much it varies. What's worse, my boss often waits until friday to make the schedule for next sunday.

On a only slightly related note, no one does a gas station like Texas! Some chains down here are a vacation stop for me. I never go to Dallas now without going to a QT and I'm southern texas we have buckee's. Some of these have meat markets, delis heck... A few have dippin dots stands inside!
The CMC become part of a school exchange program and Pinkie invited them to stay without telling Louis. Could be a one time spot or have them as a recurring background support. Maybe have another pony come as a chaperone like Bon Bon?
You could do an episode where Louis forgets/didn't know about Pinkie's birthday and she gets depressed.
Fluttershy gets a weekend pass to come to earth. Could focus on her flipping out over Pinkie eating so much meat or some other issue.
Rarity comes to visit and totally rearranges the house and Louis's closet.
The Great and Powerless Trixie?
Try doing security. The best part about my job is I can pretty much tell people to fornicate themselves with a foreign object and then bounce the double F*#k off my property. If they are not staying there. But at least I'm not customer service. The class for security runs about $125.
I work strictly nights though.
Hrm, well for an idea, maybe Pinkie and Louis meet up with some other people who are from the pony world, like maybe some griffons or minotaurs, or heck maybe even a dragon. Like maybe a dragon who runs a pawn shop, with very high interest rates.
