Right, with the posting of Bat and Bug's latest chapter was meant to be an author's note. Since I forgot it when I posted (it was 5:05 AM and I was tired) I suppose I'll post it here for those who read the chapter:
If you hadn't noticed, the newest addition to our motley crew lacks a name. This was semi-intentional; I can't think of one suitable, and I wanted to offer the chance to name her yourselves! Throw suggestions at me like you're dying to let me know what you think -or just, y'know, send them in a suitable manner because you've not lost your marbles. Whatever's fine...
I look forward to your suggestions, and you'll all know the name upon submission of the next chapter. There's no time-frame for this, as I'm liable to still entertain names during the writing of the chapter. Only limit to this is the submission of the next chapter, at which point this whole thing will be moot!
If I get a good enough feedback from this, I may hold similar little competitions (if that's what you want to call it) in the future. The winner's suggestion (as some people may suggest the same thing) will include their name as an author's note at the top of the chapter.
Grab your keyboard (or just flail away at it with your arms due to lack of motor-function control, whatever's good) and let's find a name!
-Silent Quill.
"Splinter" because she can be small and sharp. Also a little annoying when she needs to be.
Rose Wood? Maple? Twigs? IDK
Ancient Forest?
Lady Barkington
Twiggles because she wiggles them twigs like a pro... sorry i just had to
Stick, because of Words of Radiance.
GROOT, because of the obvious.
It's so obvious.
Bark.
Get it? Get it?

I'm sorry, but...

2397192 That was a legitimate suggestion. I'd do it so one character in the story suggests that name, everyone else groans in exasperation, and then no one can think of a better one so somehow the name sticks.
That's my type of writing style. I love stupid things like this. If, in any of my stories, a character got a timberwolf as a pet, that's exactly the scene I would write. You might not want to be so cheesy, and that's fair, but I did meant that to be a suggestion and not just a joke.

Don't worry too much about my response, it was a joke.
But... no, I don't think I will use that. No offense to you, but I like to be a little more creative.

...Eh?
*re-reads my post*
Oh. I do sound worried there. Whoops. Didn't mean to be, of course I knew you were joking.
I think there should be two names for each character; Ruby could likely call the timberwof "Pup" while Stalwart calls the little guy Fidelis?
All I did was google the latin translation for loyal but given how it matches the wolf's characteristics, I felt it would be nice.
Given Ruby's apparent dislike for it, I half expected her to try to name it 'Chipper.'
Tourmaline: "Chipper? Well, she certainly is energetic enough for it."
Ruby: "What? ...Oh, right. That too."
Huh. You know, I made it to the end of the chapter thinking that you'd already named the pup Flower. It was the following line which put the idea in my head:
In fact, had you not put up this post, I'd still be under the impression that Flower was her name, probably until the next chapter came out. At this point, though, it's grown on me, and I think that would be a fine name for a timberwolf.

Would rather not have the comments turn into a shitstorm of people bitching about a single word, yeah...
