To all my old followers and viewers, I come to you with a heavy heart to say that I'm completely moving on from Fimfiction and starting new somewhere else. The reason being that I simply moved on from the MLP community; I have not stopped writing, so those of you who enjoyed my work for what it is and would like to see what else I make can follow me at Royal Road.

    How long has it been?

I don't even recall the last time I dusted off this profile. It's been a while. I came on today after cleaning out my email to see if I was still getting notifications from this site. To see that they're still people who are reading my work is heartwarming.

The Butler ART! · 6:25am Aug 1st, 2014

Well I dunno if you can consider a "SKETCH" of mine art, but recently I've figured out another way of relieving stress and getting ready to write my stories. And that is drawing, it's been a while since I drew something, last thing being MECHA Hitler from Wolfenstien... I dunno if I wanna share that if I already haven't.

It's not finished obviously, but I felt like sharing what I already had. It's been a good minute since I drew ponies, all my previous drawings had always been of people. Mainly because I specialize in drawing people, not cartoon horses. Funny isn't it?

A circle head, bean shaped body, and fore cylinders are my worst enemy. Ha! It's funny because it's true. Wanna know why?

PROPORTIONS!

For those of you who don't really know much about art and don't know what proportion is (which I bet all of you do know but I'll explain anyways. Proportion is getting the sizes of objects correct in relation to other objects in a composition. For example, all four legs are the same length and width, same for the eyes and ears. As you can tell from my drawing (which again isn't finished) you can see that the eyes on the main pony (Who is in fact Lee Harrison for those who have read the story), same for his legs.

I hate fuck proportions, it's so irritating, I don't know if you can see it on your monitor but look at all the erase marks xD. I'm a very messy drawer especially when I'm frustrated, now if you look at Luna (which is one of my favorite parts of the drawing thus far) look at her eye. If you can see all those eraser marks there you'll see what I mean, I had to redraw that eye (mainly because I was getting the shape wrong) at least eight times till I got it almost correct.

You're probably wondering why I didn't finish her body, that's because for the cover her body is supposed to fade into the background. Now for the poorly drawn silhouette of what is supposed to be a man in the background, yeah I quickly threw that in there as a placeholder.

The floor tiles... I really need to start using measuring tools to make my drawings more accurate and to improve the 3D quality xD.

Other than that the drawing is coming along smoothly, I will not be using it as cover art for the actual story. Not until I can find someone who can possibly digitize it for me, mainly because pencil covers... as creative as they are. I don't think it looks to visually appealing for a cover image for a story.

Now what's to come for this image? Well first off I need to add Celestia on the left side for balance, next I may or may not be shading or even coloring the drawing... nah I won't color it I'll stick to shading. Next I'll start adding some symbolism such as the cracks surrounding the main character which for those of you who are reading the story may or may not get it... which some of you won't besides me. Cause I'm special :p

The Butler is indeed not dead but going under a hiatus as of the moment. I plan on starting it back up when my Junior year in high school kicks in somewhere around August 25th. If any of you haven't read it I highly recommend you do mainly because it's one of my most favorite and well written stories, the grammar maybe a problem but if you can get past some missing commas or action and dialogue tags. I assure you that you're in for one heck of a ride.

Thanks for reading this guys, I hope you enjoyed my drawing as much as I enjoyed making it, and I'll see you in the next chapter!

B-bye!
