If you get a strange message on Discord, it is probably a way of stealing your Discord account

Hey folks!
I know I have some of you added on Discord.
I got a strange message from someone this morning "from" someone on FIMFiction inviting me to a Discord server. Said server requested that I scan a QR code to join it using my mobile Discord app.
I'm 99.9% certain that it is just a way to hijack people's accounts, doubly so as I was unable to reply to the person in question.

I saw an interesting story and thought I would point it out to other folks, as it hasn't gotten a whole bunch of views. Someone decided to make a bunch of fake newspaper front pages from the time of Rainbow Dash's first sonic rainboom, putting them together into a story of sorts, which can be found here.
