Oh yeah, Ahuizotl! · 4:41am Jul 9th, 2014

Whoops, I forgot to make a blog post about the newest addition to my growing collection of stories, The Trying Times of Ahuizotl. For those of you who are curious, this was kind of an idea I had splurge of the moment after publishing Let Your Light Shine. I decided I wanted something longer to write along with Unraveling a Rainbow that was less serious that I could work on when I didn't feel up to juggling changeling webs of lies. (And quota met to advertise ever fic in one blog post *check mark*)

The Trying Times of Ahuizotl is me trying to make the best out of a bad situation. I personally hated Daring Don't for bringing the once-fictional archaeology adventure books to life, but it makes for a unique setting if I do say so myself. Ahuizotl is kind of an anomaly in the whole pantheon of evil villains in the MLP universe in that he has the greatest potential to be a commonly reoccurring villain, which is weird to consider. Think about it, most evils are either canonically converted to friendship like Discord, Trixie Lulamoon, and Sunset Shimmer, or destroyed/banished eternally like Sombra, Tirek, and Nightmare Moon (Tolerance my butt). Even though villains like Tirek, Chrysalis, and Sombra all have the possibility to return, they bear threats so gigantic and all-encompassing that it'd be hard for the show itself to do something with them. Ahuizotl though is a more down-to-earth evil guy. Aside from maybe Gilda, who doesn't really have a strong motivation to ever come back, Ahuizotl is pretty much alone with the ability to return at the drop of a hat for a villain casting call motivated by greed and power. He deserves a bit more love outside of Daring Do fictions on the site, and I am more than happy to give him a starring role in a story about his day-to-day villainy.

My writing priorities are still with Unraveling, so don't expect Ahuizotl's slice-of-life to update that frequently with my focus still upon Rainbow Dash and her problems. Sorry if you're a fan of Ahuizotl fellas, he will get his time, but it won't be as often as you might like.

Don't you stick that sausage of a finger at me, Mr. Ahuizotl...

Don't forget Flim and Flam, they have already been on the show twice, and have not converted to friendship yet.

Erm... completely forgot about them, and I love their songs too. I guess I just didn't think of conponies as villains.
