Her Father's Daughter - The Art and Inspiration · 10:47pm Jul 5th, 2014
So this story was a real pleasure to work on. Something short and sweet that Jaestring and I worked on a while back, something that will hopefully lead to some d'awws along the way. The story stems from a pretty random idea we have a while back, and it sort of snowballed. Just to show you what I mean, here are some of the (many) awesome art pieces Jaestring did over the past few months.
Here's a very early take on the idea. You could even consider it the catalyst for the full story. If you've read the story (and why haven't you? Do you want to see a baby dragon cry?) you might have seen a scene pretty similar in text form.
And this picture right here is why you should be following Jaestring on DeviantArt at the very least. Not only is she a great writer (see for yourself) but she's amazing at drawing. And funny. Very, very, very funny.
She's pretty awesome. She did THIS cover for a fairly popular story, after all.
Anyway, just wanted to share some stuff with you, and hope y'all are enjoying whats left of your Fourth of July holiday.
And if you don't have a fourth of July holiday, perhaps you should move to some place that has one? Or just hold your own? It's always fun to blow stuff up and eat meat, no matter your culture or nationality.
