Extra Emoticons Update
I noticed that in the last update Extra Emoticons' search function broke. So I've decided to push a quick update to fix that. Otherwise there isn't really much to talk about. 
Headcanon
A while ago I saw bookplayer post a few questions regarding head canon. I figured it'd be fun if I started answering some of them in my blog posts. 
So let's have a look. The first topic is the Mane Characters.
How old are the Mane Six? Spike? The CMC?
Looking at the Mane Six first, I would say they're somewhere in the range from eighteen to twenty-one. They're still young but old enough to live independently. For the CMC I'd say they're in their pre-teens, roughly eleven and fourteen. Finally Spike would have to be around the same age as the CMC although he may act slightly more mature due to his upbringing.
So there we go.
Do you agree/disagree? Could I have improved my answer somehow? Is there any specific question you'd like me to answer?

I would assume that Spike would be a little older than the CMC, if you were to go by the Cutie Mark Chronicles. We see Spike being hatched from his egg by Twilight, but we don't see Applebloom, baby or not, with Applejack, Big Mac and Granny Smith. This also raises the question, when was Applebloom born? She seems to have not been born during the Cutie Mark Chronicles, but hers and Applejacks parents aren't at the farm either.

It's entirely possible that Apple Bloom was with her parents. Being a foal, her parents would naturally want to keep her close.
But now I wonder, where could they have gone? If one were to assume that they never returned and that Apple Bloom went with them...
Then what if Apple Bloom was there when their parents died, but it's possible that she was too young to remember.

A little late to the party, but I'm commenting anyway: I see the CMC as 8 year olds. No idea why. Also, technically talking, Spike can't me more than... what, five years younger than Twilight?
And despise what EQG showed us, I also see the M6 as adults all the time, something like 18-22 years old. EQG is an AU so I don't really care about that, but that would mean Spike is about 13.
Being a dragon it doesn't really matter, as he's still a baby. But, you know. A mature baby.
(By the way, you saw Bookplayer posting those questions, not me).
