Well, you see... what had happened was... · 2:29pm Jun 21st, 2014
I've hit a bit of a snag with the writing.
Actually, this is a bit of an understatement.
I've slammed into the concrete barricade of writer's block at about 350 miles per hour.
Yeah, that sounds better.
As it is now though, I am struggling, and I mean struggling to put myself back in the mindset of the story. I thought I'd recaptured the heart of the story, the feelings I wanted to portray and the banter I love so dearly. I was, however, mistaken. Oh sure, I might be able to sit down and force words onto a page, but that would be just as unpleasant for you as it would be for me.
The fact that my roommate likes to blast his music at all hours of the day and night while playing FPS games as well doesn't exactly lend itself to a good writing environment.
With a bit of luck, I will be getting my own room (soon?). Until then, I'll just have to do the best I can and try to coax the muse to come back. I love this story dearly and I have so much more I want to write, loose ends to tie up, feels to subject my readers to, and emotional trauma to dish out pleasant and happy situations to describe.
I miss the outlet this used to give me, and especially with the additional stresses of life right now, I'd very much like to get it back.
*sighs*
I suppose this has all been a long way of saying that the next chapter will not be nearly as swift as I'd hoped. I'm sorry.
Well, damn. That's kind of why I specifically requested a smartphone with a full keyboard. I wanted somethong portable so I could take my music and go somewhere else to write.
My suggestion: hit him with a brick. Don't actually do that. You should get an uninterrupted hour of free writing.

See, I'd thought about that, but then I'd have to clean up the blood, and I don't have any cleaning supplies, and it's just a huge hassle. I have a tablet though, so I might just take a walk with it. I did that before while I was re-editing the story.
Ah well, looks like time for a walk.
Ask him to purchase a headset, like Turtle Beach, Astro, or Tritton. If he games on the PC, then there should be no more sound. If he doesn't, and blasts it out on a computer, he can place a pair of earbuds under the headset while he plays. Perfect solution.
2225041 I think the solution I'm going to end up with is I'm going to spend outrageous amounts of money and buy myself some Bose noise cancelling headphones. Ah well, it's an investment.
