In a prior review, I'd mentioned that the story in question the writing seemed to flag, but only to give the reader an opportunity to take a breather, relax, stretch their muscles.
The Demesne of the Reluctant Twilight Sparkle by MrNumbers...is nothing like that.
If the other fic was like a marathon, this is like a marathon-length sprint, and I mean that in a good way.
From the word "go" (or whatever the actual first word is), this fic grabs your funnybone and squeezes it until you're in the hospital from laughing so hard.
The plot? Well, that'd be Celestia's, but that's also spoiling things, so let's get to the ACTUAL plot:
Princess Luna, in a 1,000-year old gift giving mood, makes Twilight a Landed Noble to go along with her title of Princess. Princess Celestia, meanwhile, is feeling a bit overshadowed since all she did was grant Twilight a doctorate in everything.
Now, if that alone doesn't get you to read it, perhaps this will: Imagine "Lesson Zero" as told from Twilight's perspective as though she were keeping a diary of her stream of consciousness.
