Writer achievement unlocked! · 6:45am Jun 16th, 2014
So, a few years ago I had just started writing and at the time, I was extremely doubtful that I would be able to get anywhere with it. I had no visions of grandeur and, looking back at some of my initial writings, I can see just how bad I was back then. However, thanks to all the support the community has given me(Comments, favorites, just about everything) I stuck with it. In the last year, I have achieved some of the greatest goals, achievements as the blog is titled, every one of which has been enough to make me want to squeal in delight.
1. First story to get over 100 favorites, 100 likes. (Weekends are too long)
2. Have almost 100 watchers(88 and counting, feels amazing anyone would watch me honestly)
3. Finished my first grand scale fanfiction(Avatar book 1)
4. Finished my first grand scale fanfiction without getting distracted by other things and actually sitting down and writing it (Avatar book 2)
5. Finished my first book, should have it published soon after a final edit. Despite being published I will still have it on wattpad for any who wants to enjoy.(Landasy Reality)
6. Got an EDITOR! (Angel bunny)
7. Decent artwork, commissioned by a dear friend <3 (Avatar book 2)
8. Have set a writing schedule and, aside from a few stumbles, managed to stick with it.
9. Vastly improved my writing skills, though I still have a looooong way to go before I'm near as good as some writers.
10. The very thing that triggered me thinking about all the things I've achieved. Something that was on my mind for a long time, one of the things that I'd thought of for years, wondering if I'd every write something people would see worth the effort of going through the extra work. Avatar has a tvtropes page! I don't know who did it, but it really made my day.
So, I just want to thank everyone who has stuck by my stuff and given it a shot. I know I'm far from the best writer out there, but I'd be nowhere near where I am if not for each and every one of you, giving me the confidence and will to keep trying and never give up. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I will finish 5!!! Soon...hopefully.
Are you a trooper? I created the page, but I wasn't sure whether to put it under the "troopers own works" section or not in the tv tropes group on FIMfiction. so, are ya? Then I'll be set to give your story even more publicity if you so choose.
2216084 Sadly, not a troper. I have, however, lost hours of my life to those pages before. Thanks though, it really made my day when my friend linked me that. And I'd love more publicity. It feeds me, like a changeling. >.> Which I will write a story of one day, mark my words.
