So, I changed my name a bit.

Now before you lot start thinking I've been getting into the rum, let me explain.

So, as some of you remember, the last picture of me in the flesh I put up here about a year ago, and some of you commented even then that I looked like a pirate due to me growing my hair and goatee out.

Well, I kept growing it and now, thanks to my Jewish blood, I literally look like Jesus.

Can Someone Summarize this Blasted Show?

So, As you all know, I left the fandom for a while, and I'm now trying to get in some faculty back into it. However, I've run into a problem: apparently I've missed a lot since the Season 4 finale. So, what I'm asking of you my dear followers, is there any way y'all can bring me up to speed on what's been going on with all this? I don't have enough time to catch up on last season, or even the

    School's Out For Winter!

Yep, just got my transcript for the semester after a particularly long finals season. 4 B's in Medieval European History, Modern East Asian History, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills, and History of Alabama, rounding it out with a solid A in Leadership Theory. Needless to say, I'm relieved.

    I Can't Stop!

I should probably be working on the paper due in an hour and a half, or at least on my story.

Instead, I can't pull my eyes away from this.

I am seriously frustrated.

A lot of folks have been getting kind of pushy with telling me how the rest of the story should go. I'm not naming names, but you know who you are. Now, I'm sure at one point or another you all have already heard this from me, but just to restate the fact, I love getting feedback from an audience. I like to hear what you guys like and dislike, and often times I'll even be fine with people talking about what would be cool to see in the story and, more importantly, where the leakier parts of the plot are.

That said, there is a huge difference between saying, "I liked/disliked ____ about this chapter," and saying, "You have to put ____ in the next chapter," or, "You better not do ____." While I definitely appreciate genuine feedback, I am still the writer, and not to sound like a toddler in a tantrum, but in the end I decide what happens in my story and being demanding about the way you want me to write it is just liable to make me less open to the idea and pushing it even more will just make me mad.

Second point: If I get another person asking me when Chapter III comes out, I am going to go fucking super saiyan and wreck some shit. For one thing, it has been one month! One fucking month since I released a chapter, and in that time I have received at least ten questions of “When is the next chapter coming out?” Or “Release the next chapter.”

Let me make something expressly clear, folks. This site, as much as I enjoy it, is a hobby. Nothing more than that. I am glad people like what I write, and I still put effort into it, but at the end of the day, this is purely for practice at writing. There are many higher priorities on my list than finishing this story. I have no job though I have been looking all this month. I have things already stacking up that I have no ability to pay for and am merely having to hold to pay off late. I am taking out a student loan because of my scholarship being cut. On top of all of that, I have obligations to my family to fulfill. Out of all that, my little pony fan fiction is a fucking afterthought. My life is far more important than this story.

I’ll be honest, these problems have gotten so great that I have already twice in the last month considered not only pulling Starcrossed, which has already deviated far from what I originally intended in a bad way, but also thought seriously about leaving this site for good. I used to love logging into this site because it gave me an opportunity to freely write and converse with fellow literary folks, but in the last month or two, it has become a chore to simply be here because of all this, and especially to write a story that I have had all of the passion and vision that I once possessed for it sucked out, going through the motions.

I really don’t know where to go from here except to take a hiatus an think. I just don’t feel any passion or drive for this site, reviewing, or even writing anymore after all this. I'm burnt out on this story, and maybe even this site.

When it comes to stories, I HATE when people tell me what I am supposed to write...

And I REFUSE to do that to other writers.
I would rather read what came from the author's mind, and not what some other reader demands be put in

I think thats why I've lost any creative passion for Starcrossed. It was supposed to be a simple romance story along the lines of Pride and Prejudice, but due to outside pressure, it got twisted into another goddamned action/adventure story.

I don't know how many times someone has complained about a couple I uses, saying fix it. Turns out, both times have been the writers younger brother, but really get's annoying.

2196436
very annoying.

I'm sorry if I seem less hospitable than usual, but I hit my threshold after a month and now I am just ridiculously pissed off.

2196428 While I may not care for the pairing, it is NOT my place to tell someone what they have to write. My personal opinion is write what you WANT to write, and to Tartarus with those who would tell you otherwise

2196455
You make a very good point. I never have made gaining fans and views a huge goal for my stories. More of a bonus if it happens. Besides, my first story was an HiE and my second is a Flashlight shipfic. It's not like I'm gunning for popularity in the first place.

2196464 My first fic here was an InuYasha crossover lol :twilightblush:

Sorry that people are giving you problems. I apologize if I contributed. As for you chapters take your time. I prefer quality over fast pass (Yeah I know that isn't the saying). Some stories I read take 4 or 5 months before they update. I hope everything goes well, and that you don't pull out of this site. It would be a shame. Just enjoy your hobbie. Good luck.

2196481
No problems. You weren't actually bad. If memory serves, you only asked once, which is not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about asking three times a week.

2196475
Sounds cool. I'll look it up when I'm less pissed.

2196569 I try to ask the authors if the story was updated in about 2 months and then, I don't write again unless another month passes, or more. I don't want to disturb authors. I know life can be hard and ruin plans.

I'm just happy you've pieced yourself together , Jason.
Promise you won't fall apart so terribly again, because whenever someone is depressed, I feel like its half my fault that someone isn't happy.
If what you need is peace to stay strong, that's what I- we- shall give you.
Like of you will give him peace.

2196692
Thanks. I wish others were so understanding.

2196822
Thank you. I'll do what I can. I think what will be best is for me to just calm down. I really do appreciate the support.

2196846 mhm! Just calm down, face the problem, and fix one at a time.Life is an tangled knot. You got twist and turns to fix,and the more you untangle, the easier.
