    Universes and Stories

It's been a while since I've done a blog post and having recently finished up two stories and getting questions concerning the connections between them; I thought I'd go ahead and outline the universes of my currently published stories as well as those planned or already in the works. I'll list the stories of each universe in chronological order. Hopefully this will give you all a good idea why I

    Been a while.

Well it's been a bit since I made a blog post. So much has happened. Particularly my recovery from my injuries early last year is still ongoing, though most of what remains is regaining the strength lost while I was immobile. It's amazing how quickly muscles atrophy.

    Recovery

Well as I posted in one of the recent chapters of The Blue Mage, I've recovered enough use in my left hand to type normally. Though with how much the muscles atrophied, I'm still a little clumsy when typing and my hand tires easily. Even so, I've been doing a lot of typing lately on both old projects and new... too many really.

    I'm not dead... mostly.

So I haven't posted anything in a while, and it's been a bit since Blue Mage got an update. Trust me, I have a very good reason...

    The Blue Mage

The Blue Mage, sequel to Child of Misery is up. I've already got several chapters written so I will be posting them fairly steadily at first. Though MS Word doesn't work so well copy and paste... I have to go through the entire chapter fixing the formatting when I go to post it so I'll have to find time for that. If anyone knows a trick to get Word docs to copy over with correct formatting, that

The Frozen Empire finally complete; time for something new. · 2:22am Jun 9th, 2014

So I finally posted the last chapters of Midnight Star: The Frozen Empire. Time to Celebrate... by starting an all new story. So here it is:

I just submitted the prologue and first chapter. This is an all new story, completely separate from the Midnight Star series and following an all new head-canon. Being me, it is not going to be the only story in this new universe either.

Anyway, I'm going to start slow on this one while I finish up After Midnight. Also neither After Midnight nor Child of Misery are nearly as long as The frozen empire was; in fact Child of Misery is planned out as 9 chapters. How long that will get as far as word count is anyone's guess, but it will likely be comparable to the first Midnight Star; around 40k words; perhaps a bit more, we'll see. Chapter length will also likely vary quite a bit on this one.

As for the future of the Midnight Star series, in particular the third story that I included a preview for at the end of The Frozen Empire; I have not forgotten about it nor put it on hold. I just can't work on one story non-stop. In truth I have three more stories in planning that would be part of the Midnight Star universe and two that would be part of the Child of Misery universe in addition to those already in progress. Delays on me posting usually aren't because I wasn't writing, but because I was writing part of another story. Also, I want to finish After Midnight before I even begin posting The Father of Light.

In any case After Midnight is priority right now. Once it is finished I will begin work in earnest on Midnight Star and the Father of Light. Child of Misery I will be treating as a side project for now, meaning I will try to keep fairly frequent updates, but I'm not setting a schedule for myself.
