Hehehe, update blog time!
Before I get to the main point of this blog, I'll briefly talk about the 'hot topic' of my writing right now: On The Rocks. I can't thank you guys enough for the support you've given the series, and I'm still logging on to see that The Morning After and Scotchtavia are still getting favourited by new people on a daily basis, even nearly a month after the most recent update to the trilogy.
That. Is. Insane.
So! Progress update!
We have cover art! At least, I have messaged the artist requesting permission to use this piece of art, and I am currently waiting on the response. In terms of more in-depth progress on the story, much progress has been made on the storyline (I try to avoid using the word plot, thanks to the dirty minded fellas on here) to the point of completion! But that's just working out the sequence of events, none of it has been written out yet, because... because reasons.
And if you think that it'll be out soon, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disappoint you, for one simple reason: I have finally found a proper job.
When I say 'proper job', I mean the classic nine til five, Monday to Friday, all year long with the occasional holiday kind of 'proper job'. Meaning my writing time has now been drastically reduced. And because I've gone from working late evening shifts to getting up at seven in the morning, it's a very significant shock to the system. My body clock is messed up at the moment, as I'll have had a good eight hours sleep, but I'll still be exhausted in the mornings. And this is something that should go away soon enough, when I adjust to a new schedule. But for now... I can't spare any time for writing. I'm sorry, but I would prefer to put out a quality piece of writing when I get the time to, rather than writing when exhausted and putting out a piece of slapdash work.
But anticipation is half the pleasure, and my new job will come with benefits. Namely, a much larger paycheque. And this means that I'll finally be able to shift this complete and utter piece of crap that most people would look at and call a laptop. I know it much better than they do, and I can call it a piece of shit, and know that beyond all reasonable doubt, this is true. More money for me means I'll be able to get a decent rig, and when I adjust to my new lifestyle, I'll be able to be much more productive in my writing time.
If I can spare any time for writing over the next couple of weeks, I'll most likely put said time into some smaller one-shots I've been planning for a while.

Job hunting? I think you may have misread the blog slightly, I got a job, and the reason for my delay in writing is the fact that it may take a while for me to adjust to the new routine.
