    I'm Done With Ponies

Or buying them at least. BronyCAN cleaned me out, I might have a bit of trouble with my costs until next summer. I still had a lot of fun though.

    Bought some swag.
Met the artist behind the wonderful Horsewife.

I'm Actually Doing Something! · 7:38am May 29th, 2014

Now I haven't updated "Building Walls, Breaking Barriers" in quite some time and I am here to say-

-That it will be a bit longer.

The next chapter has started, but it still has no succulent meat with a fiery flambe for dessert. So it has been set to the back burner for a while. But it is for a good reason, I am in the middle of writing a one-shot with my slow paced fingers with the utmost haste and so far I am pretty proud of it. It is a continuation of sorts to the tagged story below, which some of you have read and enjoyed.

Now one some of you are wondering, What is your new story about Skunk? Is it simply....

I apologize for the pun, but I have never thought about it in the years I have used this online nickname. Anyway, back on topic.

Now I was rereading zeusdemigod's story for the third time because I hunger for his words just hit a tiny writers block with my Changeling writing. Them I got thinking. For all these sidestories its all about the humans and the ponies.

I'm one to talk What about a direct relationship with the ponies with wild/released pokemon? So my mind began to wander, one idea that I may write in the future will involve two dudes, a balloon and a Dinky.

Also will be rated E for everyone.

I could hear the water drain into the gutters of your minds across space and time.

Then I thought of another one, then I made a connection to a piece of fanart I saw years ago.

My mind erupted with pure child glee that can only be compared to being 8 years old and trying to do a kamehameha in the backyard.

Now I am about halfway done with around 4000 words so far, and it will probably clock in at 9-10,000 words. That being said I then do my own editing before I pass it off to some proofreaders that I know want to read more of what I got. Like tdnpony and anyone else who is interested and willing to promise to read something that may not arrive for another two weeks or later.

Now what happens in this story you may ask yourself.

Please refer to the above image, then go watch Pacific Rim. Damn I want to watch that movie so bad right now

Title and description are still in the works, so here are my list of characters:

The White Ranger Shining Armour

Wedge Antilles Flash Sentry

The Princess of Killer Love Beams, Cadence!

Golett

Also with a cameo from a fan favorite back in the late 90s.

And before I bid adieu to all 18 of you, here is a small bit of it.

Night descended on the Empire, as the gates to the city begin to close for the evening a stubby figure was running down the road towards the gate as fast as its stubby legs could carry it. The gate guard, one of the many new recruits, saw the approaching figure and stopped moving the doors.

“Wait a sec, Golett’s coming through!” He called to his partner in the gate house on top of the wall.

Seeing the gate held open for it, the pokemon slowed down a bit as it passed through the gates waving cheerfully at the guards before running through the snow covered plains towards what many guards thought was his home outside of the walls of the city.

Many of the Crystal guards wondered how in the world the little golem built a house in the middle of the snowy plains, let alone something made just clay and stone. A giant blue dome of different shades, with a sharp fin pointing skyward. Judging by its size, it could easily fit a decent sized family in a cozy dwelling.

As Golett got closer to the dome, he stopped short, skidding a foot through the snow and just in front of the two tall and skinny doorways. It raised its bulky arm and knocked the clay “pillar” between openings.

A small yellow light flickers on inside the dome.

Nodding to itself, Golett stands before the doorway and draws its wooden blade. It relaxes its shoulders as it recalls what Shining Armour show Golett in the afternoon.

“Hold the sword tight, both hands with a firm grip.” Shining Armour declared, his mane weaving wildly in the wind billowing behind him.

Golett starts to bring it in close, but stops recalling the second step.

“You must hold the blade away from your body, or else how will you strike down evil doers?” The Crystal Crown sat atop his head, sapphiares and emerald twinkling in the rays of light from the glorious sun that shined down only on the hero of the Empire.

Or at least that’s how Golett remembered the demonstration, as it brought the wooden sword to bear in front of its body. Checking to see if the little spark of light was watching it, Golett proceeded to go through the movements that it spied while watching guard practice.

And in doing so, Golett kept hitting itself…repeatedly, not even feeling slightly embarrassed in front of its makeshift audience inside the dome. The little light flickered with each thunk and clunk as the little automaton kept hitting itself by accident throughout the night.
