I just wrote a note on deviantart to Noben, asking to use this drawing of hers for "Keepers":
If she says yes, this will be the third time I've used art by Noben. The first was this quick sketch of Discord, which I GIMPed as a transparency over the art for "Burning Man Brony":
That signature looks a lot like "Nosey", doesn't it?
I used this for a while as the cover art for "Experience". It's a much better artwork than what I've got there now, but less related to the story.
I especially like the way she uses light, and that her drawings often tell a story or express a character. A couple of other Noben pony artworks:
She's having some personal-life issues now, and she likes faves, so if you ever want to go to her gallery and fave something, now's a good time.
That last one was my FiMfic banner for a loooong time. And will probably be again, but sometimes I want to switch things up a bit.
This art is so gorgeous. And yes, this person's use of lighting is straight up orgasmic.
Her art is fantastic! I also love that she seems to be able to draw/paint so well in so many different styles. Hopefully she'll bring more of her art out of 'storage' on DevArt.
The heavily sexualized anthro stuff is...not to my taste, but the more on-model stuff is. Actually, even when drawing more on-model she seems to draw the characters deliberately off-model in a way that I think makes them even better, more expressive-- like Sophiecabra does.
Does that make any sense?
I like her use of light, shadow and color. And the motif of Luna and Celestia's manes blending into their Attributes, is brilliant and brilliantly executed.
Sorry to hear she's in a rough spot.
I hope things get better for her.

Enjoy her style and her ability to express emotions and situations with facial expressions. The rounded edges are pleasing too.
Not interested in her anthro scalie stuff tho.
That Discord's a sketch? Now I know why Ghost says he can't draw. (Well, or understand.)
Dang but there's some good art.

I first began watching FiM, as a matter of fact, after this very artist put a link to the first episode at the bottom of her webcomic Altermeta back in January of 2011.

Just poking around the site:
Last night, I don't seem to find the old, original storylines, but it was late so maybe I missed the link. It's one of the few comics where a couple or six months between pages is very much worth the wait.
