Quick update. I'm at efnw this weekend if anyone wants to try and say hello. You can leave a message here, but discord would be best to send a dm. You can also keep an eye out for my metal gear solid / time traveling Twilight shirt. (I used to have a Twilight's dollhouse shirt but I can't find it and this is. The. Worst. Possible. Thing.)

Hey all! It's been awhile. Apparently time flies, and the smoldering dumpster fire that is this tiny blue speck amongst the stars can be a bit distracting at times. Which is why I figured a little Escapism is in order!

Twilight Plant Problem Finale · 7:31am May 5th, 2014

Whew, what a ride it has been!

For the longest time, Twilight's Plant Problem was my break-away success. Even now, it's at 14,721 views. Dash of Humanity, for all its praise, is only now at 14,926.

It warms my heart at night to know how many people enjoyed watching pastel ponies get devoured by plants.

For now, I've finished the story. As you may know, I have many incomplete stories and am just now starting to pick up my writing speed. I also have another vore story, "My Little Pony: Vore is Magic". Because I had Twilight's Plant Problem, I didn't include any plant vore in it yet. It's hard as an author to write two stories involving the same premise and make them unique.

So, instead of writing two vore stories, I decided to wrap up Plant Problem and focus on the other. That's one less story to worry about updating. I used the same ending I had planned from the start. If you think I "rushed" it, sorry, but "unrushing" it would have just meant more fighting and more "filling in the blanks" on the ending. Do you really need me to tell you what happened to Big Mac or the CMC? Or, would you rather fill in the blanks after I tell you what happened to Twilight and the mane six?

For me, I like open ended endings. It also leaves plenty of room for spin-offs, because let's face it... can you ever have too much plant vore?

I...I love you. There I said it!

Yeah, uh...the "look at the view count" thing doesn't work. Your work was porn. That always gets high ratings. Twilight is wish fulfillment fantasy for girls with millions of sales but it isn't "good". The Paris Hilton sex tapes got lots of views. But they weren't meaningful.

Not to mention that "14,000" views thing is a flat out lie. Why? I LOOKED at your viewpoint of all your chapters. The chapter with the most views? Your epilogue. That's the one that's got views up the wazoo. As in people really were more interested in seeing how this ended than they were in what you were writing for the story. They were wondering how worse you could treat the characters or if anything could be reversed or made right. That's not a validation of your writing...it's them being horrified with what you did and ignoring all the other chapters in the hopes of seeing something meaningful occur at the end. Not something to be proud of.

Your argument is "the fourteen thousand views it got over a year before you released the epilogue doesn't count, because the epilogue has more views than the other chapters!"

And people wonder why I'm an asshole, it's because I have to deal with stupid people. It is the last chapter, and the first update in nearly six months. Of course the last chapter will get a lot of views, and I don't see how that means the view count from two days ago is influenced by a chapter released a day ago.

Then again, I'm not a moron.

2079228
U mad bro? If it's so easy, why don't you write Porn? Anyone can do it, it's just wish fulfillment!

Remember to use pussy at least three times per sentence. Also, base the sex acts being performed in the story on your extensive practice in your mom's shower.

2079261 Actually, the chapter with the most views is Chapter 1, at 14,781 at the moment I checked, which incidentally accounts for the rounded down 14000 Kaidan came up with. You see, view counts are based entirely on the 'most viewed chapter'. It is true that the view graph spikes up to in accordance with the posting of the epilogue, but here's something really shakes up your theory on it being the most viewed. When you go to the bottom of a chapter, you are provided a little chapter view count. On the epilogue, 'Chapter 12'/Epilogue has been viewed 581 at the time of my viewing. At last check, 581 is not a number equal to or greater than 14,781.

I don't usually get involved with drama for a very specific reason, but when someone decides that they want to act like a ludicrous little cow, there is a bit of motivation to educate you, so that you'll know what you're talking about before making a cunt of yourself in the future.

2079261

It's almost like you care about this horse fiction

2079907

Alan Moore's "lost girls" is pornography, but it's got a good story, beautiful artwork, and clear effort and heart put into it. It's porn, but the guy made it with the express purpose of making better porn. Your work doesn't have any of that. It doesn't have heart, it doesn't have a very good story, and I don't think it's particularly well written.

Also, I noticed you did not have an answer nor REBUTTAL to the fact that I pointed out that your story is basically porn, that's the reason why it has so many views, not that it is any GOOD.

2079967

Yeah, how dare anybody be...shock, GASP! INVESTED IN ANY KIND OF STORY ABOUT A FANDOM THEY BELONG TO!

2080162

it's a story about talking pastel horses that do magic

2080190

That's a stupid comparison. By that simplification, STAR WARS was about a hick farm boy learning psychic magic powers from a green puppet alien munchkin to save the galaxy from a guy with a black bucket on his head. See, I can do stupid over simplifications too. Are you done, yet? Or are you going to take this even the tiniest bit seriously, ya fuckin' hipster bullshit artist, cuz I've had a bad day and I'm not taking any more bullshit.

2080204

It's still a TV show about talking ponies. You're yelling at me through the internet because I disagreed with you over a TV show about talking ponies.

Think about that.

2080224

And you're on a site complaining about somebody wanting to read a good story about that. And you write stories for this tv show too. Pot to kettle. Yu are black.

2080232

But I'm not pretending that what I'm doing is socially acceptable.

And I'm not angry, just perplexed.

2080251

A bad story is a bad story regardless of what fandom it is written for, and should be called out whenever possible, just as a good story should be praised even if it's for a silly fandom.

2080259

But you're arguing with me about it.

Why?

2080282

Because you're coming off as "why should you care about this"? Because it's a story for a fandom I care about. Of course I'm going to care about how it treats the characters I love. Why do you think so many were so pissed at Michael Bay for his TMNT movie changes? Because it's a fandom they know from their childhood and love, and they HAAAATE the changes he's done.

2080292

But it's just a TV show. I get annoyed by stuff related to it, sure, but you seem legitimately angry, as if this hoersfic had somehow harmed you. Why?

2080297

I'm pissed off because this guy is a douchebag who obviously doesn't care about the subject matter he writes about and just wants to see the characters suffer. That's morally repulsive to me. It's not that he wants to write a work well. He seems to delight in the suffering of his characters. That's sick.

2080400

So don't read it. They're not real; it's not hurting anyone. So just don't pay attention to it.

2080409

A bit too late for me NOW, I read through it already hoping to find something of value....only to be bitterly disappointed.

*looks up at comments*
I like how those two guys are following your blogs, despite their obvious deep hatred of you.

2080688 Welcome to the internet, home of sin, idiocy, opinions and contradictions! Have you been in Vault 22 till now? Would explain the need for plant vore.

Somewhat obscure reference beside that can be understood in one google search, Kaidan, do you ever feel dirty/disturbed/happy/aroused/other weird feeling about how a story on vore, a... specific fetish with a small target reader base, is more popular than the more general, yet very good, I dare say most major, ongoing writing project you are known for currently? (With an audience that, while small, in comparison to vore readers, should be much higher)

That story must be a draw for non-bronies, unless this fandom is more messed up than I think it is, trolls make it hard to gauge anyway, yet unless you attracted a huge majority of brony-vore people, I doubt it. Almost interested on what data could be collected on that topic... Almost.

Any thoughts on this?

2082723
Sometimes, but at least I do have non-clop stories that do just as well. It's really hit or miss, basically, I write something that people want and it does well. Usually, it's something like plant vore that just hasn't ever been done well. If I wrote the site's best Adult Diaper / Baby Lover fic, I'm sure after the initial wave of downvotes, the ABDL community would come by in droves and it'd wind up with a high view count simply because that genre is under-represented.

I think that's why this got so popular, there's no plant vore on the site. There isn't much vore either... but Vore is Magic is so broad it doesn't really appeal to a target audience enough to get tweeted, reddited, etc...

No need to feel dirty, plant vore is sexy. :twilightsheepish:
