Minific Contest Results, and More Old Stories · 12:38am May 5th, 2014
Today marked the end of the Writeoff Association's minific event--an event for which I wrote a short story titled Colticus's Continuous Caramel Cascade. It got second place, rightfully being beaten out by Bob from Bottles' excellent "A Simple Prank." You can check out the stories and results here, and I recommend you do: for an under-750 word collection, there's a lot of good stuff in there.
Or, if you're just in this for my writing (that is what it means when you follow someone, right? That you wish to read their words, and only theirs, forever?), I'm putting Colticus and nine other bits of minifiction together into a collection, which I'm posting on FiMFic tonight. These are various pony short-shorts which I've written over the course of the last few years, and unless you've aggressively tracked everything I ever did in various writeoffs and challenges across nearly a half-dozen different sites, there's probably something in here that's new to you.
Not that it's necessarily all wonderful: half of these were written for Fifteen Minute Fic challenges, where I had a total of fifteen minutes from prompt to finish to produce something resembling a story. I'm only posting the ones that came out vaguely story-like, but... well, fifteen minutes isn't a lot of time to come up with, then produce, anything.
