It's pretty.

Until you have to shovel it. And until people pour sand and salt all over it and plow it off the roads. And until, if you live in the country, you have to wade through six foot drifts in what's normally your driveway because your truck can't handle the half-mile barely-road trek to your house.

And the horse stands on the ice over the pond, it breaks, and he falls through.

And then you have to find a way to break all that ice again to get water a quarter-mile uphill to the rest of the livestock.

Also it's crap for driving in.
