Two things. Firstly, with the Journey to Nyx full spoiler out, I get to polish my ego a little. Why? Because:
Bring the House Down is now canon. Booyah.
Secondly, while we're on the subject of My Little Praetor, I have to admit that I'm a bit daunted by the size of the task before me*. I need fresh eyes for this story, so I turn to you, my faithful readers. What worked? What didn't? What would you like to see? What do you think will happen? I really do want to get this story up and running again, so your input will be invaluable. (That being said, after embarrassing myself in a meeting yesterday, I'm not going to be able to devote much time in the near future to horsewords, but the input here will be greatly appreciated for when I can.)

*For those wondering about my other stories, the Shylesnya chapter of Implicit Neighs is proving a stubborn roadblock, and I know where I'm going with the next chapter of Postgraduate Work, but have devoted little time to it. I have plenty of ideas for Sideboard of Harmony, but haven't fleshed out any of them beyond a few paragraphs.
Well, how long until we start seeing Phyrexianised ponies and such? That could be a good place to start.
The fact that it's a simulation helped a lot, especially when things seemed OOC/wrong as you could blame it on a bad understanding on the simulators part.
>What Worked?
The Mane 6 taking their Phyrexian corruption and making it a part of them, rather than becoming a part of Phyrexia. I especially liked Applejack's more positive take on being the Voice of Hunger.
>What didn't?
The ponies were winning too easily. A lot of scenes could be summed up as "And then Pinkie effortlessly defeated whatever was in front of her". Even side characters were getting in on it. I think a big part of what is needed is doing more to sell Phyrexia as a credible, scary threat.

I don't really want to comment on this, as you've consistently taken your stories in directions I wouldn't have, and it usually comes out very well.

The notifying e-mail got lost in the shuffle until five minutes after the meeting started. Had nothing to show that wasn't bugged out the wazoo. They had to cancel the meeting and schedule one for Tuesday.
2022055 Twilight going boy crazy and drinking an unknown substance. Totally out of character. But yeah, the fact that it was a simulation meant that I didn't mind as much, or mind what you did to anybunny as it wasn't real.
good lord... You even got the mana cost and tone of the flavor text down pat. Well, time to vote FoME for MtG prophet.
Well, the segmented nature of this story worked excellently. But, it started to segment a little too much. Perhaps try to reduce the amount of subplots for better results. And the phyrexian horde did seem a bit underpowered. Try experimenting with it, and record the results!

Wow, that's surreal.
In any case, yeah, the subplots proliferating out of control were what shut down the story. Definitely going to need a coherent outline before I get going again.
