    [2024/05/05] State of Everything

So, uh, hello everyone. It's been a while.

I did legitimately forget I had this account, but on account of literally everything going on in my life right now, I've forgotten that I have a lot of accounts on various websites. However, that's neither here nor there.

    [12/31/2022] An Author's Address

First off, it's address as in I am addressing all of you fantastic people who follow me and read what I put out - all of you make writing so very worth it.

    Now! Here's the main kicker:

    [06/03/2022] Updates and Continuations!

So, it's been only a day or so since I published the newest chapters of Deadwood's Detective Agency and Future Tactics - The War Games, and the response I've seen so far has me pumped! Both stories are labours of love, but for a while, I was legitimately burned out from writing (It's a problem that happens if I try to 'blitz' writing chapters - it takes so much out of me that I get

    [07/17/2021] Zero Communication

So, this'll be a short blog post.

I don't see comments from people anymore. Do people really not have that much of an attention span anymore that long-form stories like mine, with decently long chapters, no longer get attention?

Has it come to the point where it's not about the quality of stories, but how many you pump out, or how many chapters you put out?

[4/6/2014] Okay, this is getting ridiculous · 8:17am Apr 6th, 2014

On my stories, the ones that did not have dislikes before, now have dislikes, not moments after I post ONE of my older stories to a new group. It's as if vultures linger around looking for ways to remove the authors they don't agree with, simply so that they cannot get a shot at writing a story that can be far greater than anything else.

For instance: Secrets of the Zone and Future Tactics. NEITHER of those had dislikes. I submitted "Acheron, Meet Equestria" to Plan 9 (Mostly because the story's been sitting around for a while, and I admit the story was not that great.). Suddenly, they've got dislikes. It's as if Plan 9 from Equestria is a haven of vultures that descends upon ALL stories of an author, not just simply the story that was submitted, just to dislike because it's their hobby, to bring the "downvote brigade" down on authors, to destroy those who work harder than they do.

I'm currently in college, and right now, very, very sick. FIMFiction is about the one place I can actually pay any coherent attention to. (I hate life sometimes, when it decides that I need to be sick for no apparent reason.)

I would like to at least have people comment on my stories instead of immediately downvoting them. Leaving a comment is the best way an author can improve. Simply downvoting a story does not, in any way, benefit the author. An author requires criticism, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, in order to advance their writing.

I hope I am not the lone wolf who saw all of this happening.

Well, i'd just like to say that submiting it to plan 9 was a very bad idea. Secondly you'll find that the majority of the main plan 9'rs tend to leave comments woth downvotes. Usually along the lines of 'This is shit because your alicorn sucks' or a 'Nope' gif.

What i'm trying to say is that stuff like this happens, you should expect downvotes on everything.

1985382 Adequate explanation, but they don't even leave a comment.

That's the point. If there are no comments then it's not people like Moviemaster, scootareader, umachan etc.
