10 things needed in Halo 5 · 8:49pm Apr 4th, 2014
1) A bigger campaign with open varieties: No more linear-corridor shooting. We need a new, big physical world where you can explore different parts. Not so much of an open-world, but more of a seamless world.
2)More Easter eggs: We need lots of them, just like Halo 3 - maybe even more.
3) Interactive maps. I really want them to add big, diverse and original maps where you can interact with it. Elevators, secret passages, destructible environments, and much more. This would encourage different strategic ways to play with a team. And it would be lots of fun.
4) The Arbiter: One of the most iconic characters in the Halo series. If the Arbiter were beck, everyone would be happy.
5) Skill Ranking System: I really hope 343 brings this back. Having this means max level people deserve to be max level, and it would keep a balance between casual players and hardcore players. This is actually the number one reason why Halo 3 has the best multiplayer.
6) Better armors: The armor customization in Halo 4 was terrible, and was mediocre in Reach. Most of them looked the same, and I never really cared what I looked alike - only caring for my helmet. In Halo 3, there were so many different, cool looking armors that Halo 5 needs. Also, the way you unlock them in 4 and Reach was terrible. Instead of earning money to buy them, you should be able to unlock them by doing different goals.
7) Skulls: This adds way more replay value to the campaign. Having these would be awesome, and can tie in with unlocking armors.
8) Have the best story ever: There are shit loads of possibilities for plots that 343 can make. They better make the best story.
9) More vehicles and guns: Add more human flying vehicles, new original vehicles, forerunner vehicles and whatever else they could bring to the table. Also, add different types of guns, with some new ones, and keep it all balanced. Halo 3 had the best weapons, so I hope they could do the same in Halo 5.
10) Duel wielding: They better add duel wielding. It was extremely popular in Halo 2 and 3, so Halo 5 better have them.

Make Halo 5 more like Halo 3.
Hopefully if they do bring back dual-wielding, they would allow us to do it with Needlers like in Halo 2. I felt like a total badass when I had that sort of weapon in my hands--along with an SMG as well.
We can only hope that they meet these demands. Of course it would also help if they confirmed the release date already.
I agree with all these points.
Except it's "dual" not "duel".
I really want to know more about Halo 2 Anniversary, will it be a simple remaster like with Halo: CEA, or will they actually remake the game, and finish it as Bungie originally intended? If they did that and remade Halo 2 multiplayer (with armour customisation and the ability to play as an Elite again, but with the same mechanics and feel of the original) that would instantly redeem them in the eyes of gamers who felt that Halo 4 was mediocre.
1981912 the needler duel wielding probably wont happen due to how OP it is even more so then the magnum and a plasma pistol, but it would be cool to see it again on the same note i believe that even if they could have done better in halo 4's multi-player, the campaign was awesome and they should continue showing the part of Chief that is seen usually in the books if at all I loved how they handled the end of Halo 4 and I look forward to see how Chief will get on without his longtime AI friend that he has had with him ever since his armor and implant upgrade in 'The Fall of Reach'
About the corridor shooting of Halo, It has always been like that with a few more open areas on occasion (more so in Halo CE) so I don't see a problem there. Last thing, I believe the campaign not the Multi-player should be 343's focus as it is what makes Halo, Halo. In the end we all should wish 343 the best of luck in making one hell of a game
