So I know a lot of people are upset that my updates are slow, especially for Regeneration and Burning Souls. The reason is kinda simple. I'm moving on from MLP. I'm not giving up on it all together nor am I canceling the stories. I just find myself now moving to other fandoms like Helluva Boss as well as my own original work.
Hey guys, one of my best friends, jamescorck, is now open for commissions! He and I have done great artwork together and he's great at making not just MLP stuff but other fandoms as well such as 40K, Beastars, Helluva Boss, and more! Check his stuff out and get in contact to commission him for some great artwork!
1979123 I've been staring at this blank GDoc for two hours trying to figure out how I'm going to start off this Twidash story I'm writing for a competition (well, supposed to be writing, anyways) and I'm not fucking coming up with a damn thing.
1979133 well my problem is that I don't like giving up on story ideas, but I have so many of them floating around in my mind that if I get an idea and don't sit down and write it immediately, it'll get piffed away in the sea of other ideas I've got. and I hate it when that happens.
1979137 I have tons of ideas too, but most will never see the light of day. Just the adopted fics blogs I post are only a small fraction of them. But not every idea you have is gonna be turned into a story. Ideas are dimes a dozen
1979132 Honestly, just start writing something. Even if it ends up being scrapped, just write something. Another option is to simply start bouncing ideas off of someone. Both help a ton.
Not everything has to become a story. I mean, seriously, I've never written anything beyond five or six chapters until I started The Sunshine Chronicles. Now I'm pushing thirty, and adding to it daily. I just take whatever I like imagining and put it to the keyboard. Close your eyes, imagine whatever makes your inner fangirl squee in delight, and type it out. Refining comes later.
And if your ideas become fragmented, write those fragments down, separating them with ellipses. The ellipses are where you'll bridge those fragments later.
Seriously. Just start writing. Some nights it just doesn't wanna come, and that's okay. But try and at least put something out there once every OTHER day.
Maybe you shouldn't listen to me though. I'm a tad crazy.
(I also find that one-word prompts seem to help somehow... Kind of helps nail my focus to something.)
all you people and your ability to write. it makes me sad.

I've had those days too.

so how do you get past your mind saying "fuck you, I'm not doing shit today"?

Relax, read, write random stuff, and wait for inspiration to come. Forcing it never helps
