So today, I've decided to update The Power of Ponies. If you ever wanted a Power Pony fic that explored this particular alternate universe, well, this is the one for you!
Seriously though, I can count the legit Power Ponies fics I've run into on one hand. Most of them seem to be "And then the Mane Cast were Power Ponies" or "Shameless Clop." I mean, Daring Do had her own freaking Tropes page, why not these guys?
I'll have to give this one a read later.
You make an excellent point about the lack of Power Ponies fics. I've only seen and read one fic like that so far. And while I can't say that I've ever actively searched any more, I'm pretty sure I would have seen a few more if there were many of them out there.
And I don't know why people just aren't writing Power Ponies fics. Maybe it's because people around here aren't really used to writing or reading stories of the superhero genre around here. I don't think it's because people don't like the Power ponies, because based on all the art I see of them, I think they're fairly popular. And even though I hate the the Power Ponies episode and think it's absolute crap (and it seems like I'm one of the few to do so), I still like the Power Ponies themselves.
So yeah, I don't know why they're not more popular.
Just incidentally, have you been looking into finding an artist for a set of more accurate portraits?
Damn it. I'm currently writing a Power Ponies fic which isn't really about the Power Ponies, but it's title was supposed to be "The Power of Ponies", and now I see that that title has been taken.
