"The Sweetest Gem" Fanfiction Readings · 9:38pm Mar 15th, 2014
I'm still working on my next fic, and I still don't want to give any perspective release date on it yet because as you guys probably know, I usually can't predict how much the demands of life get in the way of writing. I have two other non-MLP fics in the pipeline, and I am shooting to have all three released around the same time. So, all I can say right now is... hopefully sometime before the summer.
But for right now, in case you fine folks are looking for something else to do, I'd like to advertise three people on YouTube that have done/are currently doing vocal readings of my ever-popular (for whatever reason) SpikeBelle fic, The Sweetest Gem.
First off is DarkShadowFilms101, also known on this site as darkshadow051, whom I've mentioned before as the author of ScootaBelle fics "New Discoveries" and "New Revelations", and the guy who inspired me to put "The Sweetest Gem" here on FIMFiction. He's actually done a complete reading of the fic on his YouTube channel, which you can find here. He's also done a whole bunch of other fics, so y'know, if you have the time, go check out all of his work.
The second person is Dalton Antola, who as of right now has done the first two chapters. According to a video he put out, his channel is currently on hold, but apparently he's still interested in continuing reading The Sweetest Gem in the future. He does his videos in a facecam format (at least for TSG Chapter 1), so if that's your thing, then feel free to look at his videos here.
And last but certianly not least is a YouTuber by the name of The Brony Chronicler. I actually really like this guy's style, he does some pretty good voice acting and something about the way he reads it just... cracked me up while I was watching it (in a good way, of course). As of right now, he has the first four chapters up on his channel here, along with a couple of other fic readings he's working on. Seriously though, this dude really needs some more exposure, he's great.
One other person did contact me on Fanfiction.net about doing a reading, but I don't know if he was either Dalton or TBC. I suspect not though, so if that reading ever pops up, I'll be sure to post it here too.
So feel free to check those out if you have the time, and keep on the lookout for that story. Coming... eventually. :P
