Closing in on the end of Born in Equestria... But please be patient · 7:22am Mar 15th, 2014
The title pretty much says it all. I'm creating a blog post because I know that a growing number of people are picking up on this story and following it, and some of them are probably waiting to see what happens next.
To be more specific about things... It's almost over, for two reasons: first and primarily, because enough of the story is almost finished being told. Secondarily, it's because this story is very difficult for me to write, honestly, and I'm about ready for it to be over. It's the end of a series of three difficult stories, and the hardest one of the those three on top, and after two years I'm just ready for this thread of work to finally just be over. It's been helpful in some ways but I think that's pretty close to run its course for the time being and I desperately want to move on to other things, other ideas.
With that said, I'm a little bit stuck on the last part. I have some different forked paths for rough drafts in mind for ways it could work, but I'm on my third one so far and I'm still not sure if it's what I want, exactly. It's tricky, because I need to be pretty solidly satisfied with the concept before I'll feel good about writing it and be able to write it well. I haven't taken it this far to just fumble the ending. I don't know just how long this may take to figure out.
Thanks for bearing with me and thanks to all of you who've read what's there so far. All the comments have been universally positive so far, and that's been a really big motivator to keep writing and stick this out to the end.
