Busier than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest! · 3:46am Mar 8th, 2014
Whew, well self-explanatory title is self-explanatory!
Not so much the amount of hours worked, but the events packed into those hours and in between as well!
Let's see here...
Current chapter progress: 3k words added this week. <---a small miracle on its own
Luckily, I've got a few hours less this coming week than this week, so writing time won't be shortened!
Upcoming work schedule:
Sun: 11-5
Mon: 8-2
Tues: Off!
Wed: Off
Thurs: 8-7
Fri: 8-6
Sat: 8-6
So any major writing should be done Mon afternoon thru Wednesday morning (got Spring cleaning to do that afternoon!)
Volare: Damn, is it just me, or does this blog seem kinda...disjointed? V-Pony dude, get on topic and stay on it! Tell the folks about something wild happening at work or something.
Aha, right! Well, this past month, we set a record for mechanical work run through the shop, with me leading the charge in regards to selling, writing, and scheduling said work!
Crazy stories...hrm...ah! Some guy scheduled over $1500 worth of work on his Lexus, signed off on it, and then called in the middle of it to cancel, saying he was selling the car instead. To anyone looking to get mechanical work done on their vehicles: don't be a douche and do crap like this: It wastes the mechanic's time and costs him money on parts and tools purchased/rented for the job.
Everything else went fairly swimmingly save for one van that got stuck on the mechanical lift for three days because it took forever for the customer to get the right parts. It's exactly this reason why many shops won't let customers bring in their own parts, that an the liability of an off-brand part possibly failing while on the road...
Also, I'm a bit ashamed that I haven't spoken at length about engines and such, seeing as how most of my work revolves around them and their support systems. So, please allow me to draw attention to a blog posted by the awesome Totallynotabrony:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Propulsion <<<<<<<<<<<<<
^Some extremely useful and educational information in there! ^
Well, what else is there to say?
I finished watching all the Harry Potter movies (something I'd never done)
Also finished Series Three of Dr Who (spoilers: it will blow your mind!)
Planning on going bowling tomorrow with Quillin Words and PinelopeCushion
The main movie I'm psyched to see:
I mean, Celestia--it, isn't that just -ing awesome?!
Volare: The awesome stuff I'm missing since I "died!"
Anyways, be on the lookout for more news/updates and such from me this coming week!
Obligatory sign-out music, go!!!
Volare:
can't wait!
Aw man, that Godzilla movie is going to be awesome.
Glad to hear that you're making progress. Good luck with the mechanical work, I know its a pain in the ass.
HOOZAH! !! PROGRESS!!! And that Godzilla movie looks buckin awesome, can't wait for it to come out
Thanks for the plug.
Good to hear that everything is fine with you.
Have a nice weekend. o/
When I first heard about the new Godzilla movie I was like YYYEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!! Then I proceeded to watch the few modern day versions I have XD
As someone who's been following you and this story since the end of season 2, I can't wait.
It also helps that I actually got around to getting caught up on Blue Angel a bit. (On Truth or Dare 5 right now).
My favorite part so far is when Volare finally flies again, for real. When you dropped this track, I flipped the fuck out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2XKpm0QZ2s
You took one of my favorite songs, period, and paired it up with the one of the most badass scenes I've ever read in a book, fanfiction or otherwise. It's one of my favorite songs because it reminds me of all those times as a kid dreaming of flying a fighter jet. (I blame watching Top Gun when I was like 5. It also helps when you went to see the Blue Angels as a kid.)
But, enough of my fanboy screaming and dancing. Good to see you're alive again!
Me and my friend currently watching a Godzilla movie a week till the new one comes out...this saturday GODZILLA vs BIOLLANTE
Any idea when you'll have a chapter up?
1921359 Well yesterday I got on the biggest writing tear I've been on in months, pumping out about 6500 words on the new chapter. Unfortunately, I had to scrap a good amount of what I'd already done due to the new angle I'm taking this chapter to.
I was inspired by this: [youtube=www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me9rxgjLWfM]
I'm already liking how it's going, because now I have a reason for Celestia to be acting the way she is
I already know my proof listener Biker Dash likes it
I hope you guys will too!
In regards to when I'll have it up...well, that was certainly the most difficult part of the whole thing, but at this point, I'm thinking I'll just split the chapter into two not-so-mega chapters for easier reading, as well as to end this damn hiatus.
I'll explain more in a future blog post
1922861 That video sent chills down my spine...dayum. I'd like to say I'll be patient for another chapter, but I want it now! I need moar!
Ahem, with that said...yay for progress...
