An update on There Goes the Neighborhood, and other things. · 3:43am Mar 5th, 2014
First of all, I just wanted to let everyone who's reading There Goes the Neighborhood know that the next update is going to be ready in short order. It's nearing completion and will go into editing very soon. In the best case (please don't take this as a promise) it could be out by this weekend, and trust me when I say, if you liked the escalation in the last chapter, you'll love this new one. It's going to follow my trend of increasing size, and although I can't say exactly how long it will turn out to be just yet, I think it'll be somewhere between 12k and 15k, depending on how the editing goes.
In its current state (I'll get around to re-editing the earlier chapters one of these days) that story is basically a road map of my progress as a writer, and I'm happy to report that this new chapter is a particularly huge step forward.
There are a lot of reasons my updates have been so sparse lately, ranging from my dad nearly dying (he's fine now) to doing a ton of work with The Royal Guard, not to mention taking on a ton of editing projects. And speaking of TRG, I just got a new gig as the Public Relations Princess. That means if you submit a story and you think the person rejecting it was a total dick, I'm the guy you should complain to. Also, the title is hilarious because I'm now PR Princess Prak, or more simply, PR³.
I'm trying to get back into the groove of writing regularly, so right after this chapter is finished, I'll be jumping right into another chapter of my other semi-popular story, Roll For Initiative. I also have a new serialized comedy in the pipeline that I may start releasing soon. I'm hesitant to reveal anything significant about it at this point, but it stars Queen Chrysalis.
See you guys soon with some actual content. 'Til then, stick to the shallow end of the cesspool, and good night.
Yay, updates coming soon! I'm excited.
