Last new story for a while

Before I begin, this blog will be discussing, linking and promoting a mature story. Those not of appropriate age should click back now.
And before you say that I can't be doing this, that I can't link NSFW material anymore, the rules for blog posts say that I can.

My lenghty silence is coming to an end.

    Greetings, followers and assorted hanger-ons.
With a number of things happening in my life, I suppose that it is high time that I make this post and explain a couple of things.

Firstly, I'm not dead. I can assure all of you that I am indeed still alive and kicking, as preeminent cardiologists have confirmed that my heart is still beating, so no risk of zombie infection here.

Today, at 3:41 pm local time, I managed to reach the 300 follower's milestone. While I know that this pales compared to some, for me I think it is a pretty good effort. Many thanks go out to user Kamineigh for being follower 300,

My lenghty silence is coming to an end. · 6:48am Feb 12th, 2014

I know that it has been quite a while since I either posted a new story, or even updated one of my unfinished ones. Those egregious errors will be fixed up in the next week or so, with my last new story for a while, and following that, a dedicated push to finish off all of my unfinished stories. This includes Tugging at my Undead Heartstrings II, which I said I would get back to eventually, and eventually has come around. Those who are following Spike and the Dragon Tree should expect a new chapter in the next week or so.

The reason for my lack of updating is two fold, or maybe three fold depending on your point of view. First, I haven't had all that much time to be writing as work has been surprisingly busy after the Christmas period, and I just haven't had those nice little chunks of an hour or so to get set up and do a chunk before being called off to the next job.

Second has been the weather. It's the middle of a freaking hot summer here, with temperatures commonly in excess of 40 Celsius, and it's hard to get into the mood when it's so hot the sweat is literally dripping from your forehead. it's been something like the third hottest summer on record, and it's not over yet.

And finally, the big one. The main reason I haven't had time to do much writing is that as of a few months ago, I joined up with a newly formed project team looking to make an ongoing audio drama series, Bad Timberwolf. Bad Timberwolf productions is currently working on making a series combining MLP and the Dr. Who spin off, Torchwood, with a great cast of quirky characters, plus a few familiar faces.

We put out the preview trailer a few days ago, and it got posted on EQD yesterday. It's awesome, and you might even recognise me playing the part of The Doctor.

Voice recording for the first episode is just about done, and editing is well underway, so I've got a little bit more time to work on my stories now.

However, the project needs your help. In order to get episodes out in anything resembling a reasonable time frame, we need more people to get involved in the project. We still have a few voice actor slots for minor and oneshot characters, but the real set of people we need are artists.

If you know how to create Vector art, or are willing to learn how to do so (It's quite easy once you learn how to use one of the various programs, I learned how to create reasonable vectors in less than a week), and are interested in joining a team for an ongoing pony project, then please contact the groups founder and main director, Sergeant Pepperton with an expression of interest. We will take all the help we can get, and you have a chance to be part of something lasting.

Oh, and there is also something about me winning the colt-cuddlers Hearths Warming Eve contest, but you don't care about that.

So takeaway points are
1. I'm not dead and am working on stories again.
2. I'm part of a radio play/audio drama group and we need your help.
3. It's bloody hot here right now.

Enjoy.

I've always wanted to get into VA work, if you'll have me.

1826025 Record a demo reel and send it over to Sgt Pepperton. We have spaces for multiple VA's including characters such as: Starswirl, Davros, Celestia, Echo the Bat Pony, and many others.

1826192

There a time limit? I'm on night shift until Friday, so I won't really have time until then.

1826196 Not really. Just send it in when you have time. We're going to be working on the first episode and some shorts for the next little while.

So yea, it's great to hear you are writing stories again. Hope to see a few new ones soon. Also love the whole Twilight X Bat pony you had in the one story. I'm still hoping you'd be willing to do a sequel.

I'd help with the VA but I don't have the right equipment.:facehoof:

I just presumed the summer was keeping you busy, but I'm glad you're alive nonetheless. :ajsmug:

Nice slenderman reference at the end of your preview! I can't say I'm overly fond of Torchwood, but I'll be monitoring what you make of it. I can't say I've got getting into vectors on my agenda, but I'm a singer and have a headset. I won't pretend I'm accent-free, though, so if for some reason you'd want a german basso for a character, give me a shout.

I'm not into homoerotica, but congrats on winning the coltcuddlers contest anyway! Or have I congratulated you on that before? I don't know, you seem to be winning a lot of contests! :pinkiehappy:

1826464 We do actually have a slot for a minor re-occurring villain who is named after the WW1 German ace, Baron Manfred von Richthoven, The Red Baron, so having some German accented English would be a boon there. If you don't mind playing the bad guy, you would be welcome to drop Sgt Pepperton a line and try out for the role.

Also, I only just found out about winning this last contest a day or two ago, so no ones had a chance to congratulate me yet. There's only shipping, and no clop in this one.

1826453 I have an idea of where I want to continue that story to, but not yet an actual plot to go with the idea. Nothing is worse than setting off half cocked. Plus I do need to finish up with my outstanding accepted requests and unfinished stories before starting anything new.

1827801 They are far less stringent with Audio material than they are with fics. Let's just hope we can get some new members out of it.
