Last new story for a while

Before I begin, this blog will be discussing, linking and promoting a mature story. Those not of appropriate age should click back now.
And before you say that I can't be doing this, that I can't link NSFW material anymore, the rules for blog posts say that I can.

My lenghty silence is coming to an end.

    Greetings, followers and assorted hanger-ons.
With a number of things happening in my life, I suppose that it is high time that I make this post and explain a couple of things.

Firstly, I'm not dead. I can assure all of you that I am indeed still alive and kicking, as preeminent cardiologists have confirmed that my heart is still beating, so no risk of zombie infection here.

Today, at 3:41 pm local time, I managed to reach the 300 follower's milestone. While I know that this pales compared to some, for me I think it is a pretty good effort. Many thanks go out to user Kamineigh for being follower 300,

A Few Story Updates and Anncouncemnts. · 9:56am Sep 11th, 2013

Hello Followers and assorted subscribers. Also to those people who just happen to click on my user page and see this.

I'm making this as a informational blog about my upcoming plans for stories as there are three main things I want to be known that will affect my story release schedule.

First: I'm going to be taking a short break from writing clopfics. After having done the last couple of stories under an extreme rush, I've found myself beginning to burnout with regards to ponies having sexy-times. Everything was beginning to flow together and I just couldn't feel the creative spark anymore. I've decided to put my current round of clop stories on hold for the short term while I recharge my batteries.

Let me be clear, this is only a break. No stories are cancelled and I will be returning to finish off any of the request fics that I have accepted. They will just take a little bit longer than I originally thought they would.

Second: Continuing on with the taking a break theme, Tugging at my undead heartstrings II is also going on hiatus, and will have its status updated to reflect this. Again, this is not to be construed as the story being dead. I've decided to change a few later plot points, which has necessitated altering the upcoming plot. I will be coming back to this story in due time once I have hammered out exactly where the new plot is going, but for now, it is on hold in favour of me working on my current story.

Speaking of which...

Third: The reason that Undead Heartstrings has been shelved is I am working on a new story which has been out for about a week. The first result of my break from Clop is Spike and the Dragon Tree. This story is an attempt to return to my adventure roots and features Spike going out on a grand quest to find the legendary Dragon Tree. I'm keeping this story strictly teen rated and has the added challenge of featuring Zecora as a major character.

This story is also a tribute to my late grandfather, who was arguably one of Australia's greatest experts on dracenea draco, which is the scientific name for the actual Dragon's Blood Tree. The tree is actually an incredible thing; it's very hardy once established, making it perfect for Australia's arid environment and its sap is one of the few sources of a resin known as Dragon's Blood, which is valuable as a alternative herbal remedy for almost every condition you can care to name - fever, cancer, headaches, coughs, the list goes on. The deeply tinted red sap was also used in the staining of all of Stradivarius's instruments, giving them their unique colour.

If my family was to have a crest of some kind, it would certainly have a Dragon Tree on it somewhere.

I think that it about it for now. Clop stories on hold, Undead heartstrings on hold. Neither is cancelled. New story is out. Views, Likes and Faves would be appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of your morning/day/night.

I respect that. Enjoy your break. And why not do a sequel to Cosmo Memory while you're at it? Eh? Eh? Just kidding.

1342748 I have started that, though it keeps getting waylaid by other ideas.

Also, weren't you meant to be banned by your father from coming here again?

1342976 He let me back.

And you really don't have to do the sequel. I could try it and see what comes out of it...
