I have a question · 6:06pm Jan 4th, 2014
I have been thinking... Please don't scream and run around in pure terror. I know the fact that I have been thinking is something that should never happen. But I want to ask the those who have read, "I'm Not a Mare" a question. Should I try and submit the first chapter to EQD? I only ask because of the good rating it has been getting over the past few days. I would like to know your thoughts on the matter before I push on. Call me crazy, but from the first fanfic I wrote. Those who remember that not so good story. It is has been my dream to one day have one of my fanfics make it on to EQD. Yeah, I know that is crazy dream, but dreams no matter how crazy they seem are what drive some of us to better ourselves to make that dream a reality. Well I hope hear back from some of reads and my many new followers. I also want to say thank you to those new followers that I haven't had a chance to thank them on their pages.
i can't guarantee that it'll get accepted, but if it does then I'm submitting Equestrian Earth.
Nope.
I don't think you should. Your story is really good. But to be EQD good is really hard. You know what I mean? Keep working on it though. I'd really love to see what comes out of this.
Brony On!
You can try, even if you don't get featured, you won't have lost much anyway ^^.
1682011 <----Listen to this guy. He's right. Your not gonna lose anything. Might as well go for it, right?
You can try, but sincerely, I doubt that it get accepted. Don't get me wrong, the story is good, but in EQD they are almost all grammar nazzis. They only accept stories which are close to perfection.
If you are going to do it, I suggest you to look for a few more editors and proofreaders, just to be sure.
You should give it a shot. You never know until you try.
Try it! I mean, it's gonna be a very long shot, but hey, you said it yourself. Wish you luck.
No.
EqD is a shit.
From what I've heard, there are a lot of self-gratifying jerks over there, so don't be disheartened if they start shooting at you (figuratively). On the other hand, you don't have anything to lose. All you do is email them the chapter and they either approve or deny it, right? If there is nothing that makes you invested in success (i.e. some sort of fee, a contest that has a deadline, etc.), then you don't have to worry if they don't accept it. It's their loss for denying an amazing story.
To be honest, hon, I'm going to say no. Everyone says you have nothing to loose but they do have a three strike rule, and there is no need to waste one. You story is pretty funny, but it isn't EQD standard quality. (None of mine are either, though). If you want to go on EQD your story telling needs to be better (and that's something that grows with practice) and your grammar has to be top notch. So, I'd say no.
My advice is to go on with the story and see whether readers like it or not
go for it, the worse they can say is no.
If you want to take itr to EQD you have to
- be absolutly positive of your spelling and grammar.
- have a hook chapter as the first (your hook is in the summary).
- be fairly goodwith the spacing of your story.
- have luck getting a favorable examiner.
I think you should try and hope, U don't go on EQD so I don't know about it's content but the story is good and probably stands a chance
Your story is good, but in order to make it on EQD you're going to need to go through it multiple times, and make sure there are almost no grammar and spelling mistakes.
I would say don't do it, but if it's one of your dreams then go for it.
to be honest i think u should but i also like to read more into the story as only the first chpter has been halrius. But the cliff hanger is a lil diapointing. Anyways i have to think eqd would permit it for the comdey it has in it as well as imgnation. as far as ik they havn't made epsods about this time of things so i think they welcome some comdy there. I say u should try it at least.
I think I'm going to wait till I finish the story and have it looked over down to the last pixel by anypony I can get to help me.
