Something about time and the length of it

Hey guys, just being curious and seeing if anyone who decided to follow me way back when is still around. Life has become mundane and... too adulty. Discovered some comic called Lyra-Lyra's Bizarre Adventures and it brought back nostalgia of my time on here. So... how's things? Anyone not yet struck by the reality of the world we live in? Still going strong in the head box?

    Seriously, though!!!

“Well you know how this place works, surely? All those devices in the Terminal? Some of them must be scanning us humans for stories, fantasies, general desires. My whole experience has felt like something I’d find myself… writing…”

    I don't know what I'm doing.

I think I might be going too meta.

I am writing something potentially crap

And I thought I'd make a silly old call out for pre-readers/editors/whatever

What say you, my 128 followers? Nice number, btw.

I hath returned this post Xmas weekend · 5:03pm Dec 28th, 2013

(As He knew it readers can skip to the bottom to see why I linked them to this blog, should they not care for my other activities besides that Fic)

Sorry for my sudden disappearance from the internet, but I like to spend my Christmas week away from the internet. Well, that and there was this little Christmas Miracle that happened. Last week, I was hit by a car.

I'm perfectly fine now. It hurt like hell, considering the speed of the fucker that smashed into me. The miracle, however, comes in two parts:

1 - I'm still alive. The speed of the vehicle was at least over 40mph, which is about the slowest speed one can get hit at where they're more likely to die. A witnessing friend guessed at 50ish.

2 - My injuries/The rapid recovery. Compared to most hit and runs of such velocity, my injuries were surprisingly minor AND I recovered over 24 hours.

Needless to say, best proof of the existence of miracles I've ever encountered. I DEFIED PHYSICS!

Anyhoo, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and have a Happy New Year. Haven't watched today's episode, nor last week's. Also, with 374 blog/story notifications, I think I'll pass on catching up on all that. Had 400+ DA Messages earlier. Yeesh.

Tell me about your holiday so far, and what stuff you been getting. I'll start you all off:

Bro stayed two nights over 24 - 26 Dec, and that was SWEET. Dad surprised me with a TARDIS Bathrobe/Dressing Gown. Bro got me a Dr Who shirt from one of those One Day Sale Tshirt websites like TeeFury or somit. Mum got me Series 6 of Dr Who and Day of the Doctor on BluRay. There were others, but they weren't so awesome. Loved Xmas Spesh of Dr Who. Worked on Boxing Day, and I loved the busy atmosphere. London Rellies came up to visit over 26 - 28 Dec, bringing with them a Where's Wally complete collection travel book, and a pig skin leather notebook for whenever inspiration strikes me. They were brilliant company! This Monday, Friends and I are having what we call Dinner Pub (you can guess what it entails), followed by/straight after watching Anchorman 2. And finally, the New Year will be brought in with a night out in Derby with those same friends.

P.S. Obviously, the continuation of As He knew it will be delayed as I must finish Error 404 first.

Merry Christmas:twilightsmile:

Hmm, well, since you asked:

-thesis work got pushed back due to my room needing work, which naturally has to happen during the holidays.
-picked up the two books I ordered, one on Linux and one on Blender animation projects. Both are awesome books, haven't done much with either due to above. My dinosaur laptop now runs Ubuntu and the latest Blender, though, so if I ever make an animation, I'll have a spare computer to do the rendering on. :yay:
-some heavy family dinners, some taping of things on the best television networks we Belgians can receive (ie: BBC 1 and 2), much procrastination relapsing and attempting to work on my TwiDash romantic clopfic so I can keep up the weekly updates.

I have also started work on the one chapter that'll make that TwiDash thing stand out above all others, and I'm constantly checking custuom Google searches to make sure I'm the first person using one particular idea on FimFiction. So far no one suspects a thing :trixieshiftright:.Most of the work I got done, I did this morning. Still haven't seen a single episode of Season 4, planning to keep it that way until I'm where I want to be, work-wise.

Edit: oh no you don't, you don't make me forget to tell you "Glad you're okay." Traffic accidents are a serious thing, and it's a good thing you survived. Take care, dude.

My mom passed away two days before Christmas.

1657640 holy shit man!

I didn't know you got hit by a car! :pinkiegasp: I assume the story was not interesting, since you decided to withhold it until now! :duck:
