Merry [Solstice celebration of your choice here]! and a happy new year! (And a few thoughts about another milestone.) · 12:12pm Dec 24th, 2013
That, and I seem to have passed into the fourth digit of story-views when I wasn't looking.
Not bad for roughly half a year. Still, I notice my two stories are near tied in number of views despite their much different lengths and story types... Don't get me wrong, I'm quite pleased with both my runty little children, but I can't help but wonder why one of them seem to be pulling ahead and by so far.
Is the site so starved for Sci-Fi? Did it just resonate with many?
Or is it the other way around and more then the mods got burned out from the torrent of Five Score fics?
Still, not important except for my curiosity and I'm digressing.
Once more for emphasis, merry [Solstice celebration of your choice here]! and a happy new year!
Just for further emphasis, some music!
...And one just a tad more traditional, just in case.
Sci Fi is cool. I sometimes get miffed when I realize we probably won't see aliens or have robot hands that I can stick a knife in.
To cut bread. I'm not crazy.
I would be impressed if we reach Mars, though. Don't have hope for much else. Like pink dragons.
hint hint.

Sorry for a late reply. The holidays and such.
I actually think space exploration at least on the 'local' level like Mars and similar is near inevitable.
...From the look of things it will simply not be for the science of it, but profit. A bit sad, but better then it never happening, right?
And I've actually gotten quite a bit written on Sufficiently Advanced during my brake... but sadly nothing publish worthy. Nothing much to report without using spoilers, but I thought I'd mention it.

I want a robot hand.

*Sigh...* Don't we all?
Wanna know the worst thing?
I'm actually old enough to remember how everybody knew we'd have jet-packs, moon-bases, flying cars, AI, androids, food-pills...
In the futuristic far off space year of 2000.
