You ever freverently sought a goal so passionately that you become self obsessed? You turn into a raving loon and soon all your friends dump you. It happened to Poe and even Hemmingway.
Unlike them, however, my passion hasnt paid off. I invested too much and sacrificed too much. The price was greater than the payoff and now I have nothing to show on both ends.
Since its clear to me now no one cares if I improve and in fact accept me for what I am, I am afraid that too much damage has been done already and I am stopping this spiral so as not to lose anymore friends.
I hope you all understand my decision. And dont let your fire consume you like I have.
What happened? Maybe we can talk, maybe I've been in the same place.
I have more of a problem with focus and planning when it comes to my writing passion. I can have a solid concept and good idea for maybe one chapter or so but then I get distracted with thoughts for other good stories. Stories I want to read to influence my own,did I really have a plan on how to finish in the first place,if I even want to continue the story on my own.
Yoga has helped a little with getting me less stressed out about it but it doesn't help me with the amount of ideas I have in my head that I don't plan on out the few stories I have that are successful.
The occasional comment or favorite to my stories should impassion me to try harder but I just get lazier.
I don't let this consume me but it is an annoying bug in the back of my head.

Maybe people would care more if you didn't keep deleting your stories. You had quite a few popular stories you simple removed.
Think I can mostly relate to/understand what you are on about.
And can say I've had quite a lot of that myself... but the very small successes does make it partially worth it at least. Knowing that as least some people out there are capable of common sense. (in the case of my goal)

Exactly! The story became a batshit insane trainwreck I couldnt write out of. Twilight's horn grows back?! I dont think it works like that...

Well of course Twi horn doesn't grow back! But if we have a pony who controls the sun and another who controls the moon. After the evil was defeated you could have made Twi and her friends go into a quest to restore Twilight horn, duh!

Dude, you had two long fics connected with each other, and you just removed them. That made you lose a lot of readers. I keep you in my following list hoping you would post these fics back someday, but you did not. Who cares if the fics are horrible? I still sent people my horrible first few fics if people asks me to. And trust me, I hate those, they are hideous!
You cannot complain when it was you who trew the first stone. And since then you have not tried any long fics, just short stuff. You can't expect to have the same amount of readers for a short story than what you have for a very long fanfic,
In fact YOU are the one of the two reasons reason why I wasn't very active in fimfiction for a long time. You just picked up your stuff and left without saying goodbye. you left behind a lot of friends.
Besides if you had that much talent, you would try doing another long story epic, something you haven't done for years.
Don't try to get pity or understanding, it may have been a while, but I am still quite angry with you.

I just felt my fans deserved better quality and I am working on another long fic but waiting until its finished to keep it coherent unlike my last attempts.
Im glad you liked my old stuff, really. But I want to give you the quality you deserve. The ones who were helping me didnt understand my needs and thats why they ditched me.
Most of my "friends" on here followed because I wrote clop. As soon as I stopped that they stopped too. Have you read any of my fics post Kaleidoscope? Probably not.
If you want to help me, Ill accept. If not, then I dont know where to start.

I didn't' help you because you wrote clop, I remember I helped you to write some Celestia and Discord scenes, and it was me who made you realize it was more dramatic if unicorn horn didn't simply grow back. Heck, check my user id, I was the person number 25 who registered in this site. I don't really remember what nick I used so long ago, but we used to talk a lot in the chat.
