I won't mince words here. This story was not going the way I wanted it to. It was a spur-of-the-moment idea, which should have ended as a one-shot. I have dearly overestimated my own ability.
I won't insult myself or the readers with keeping this story in limbo. If I ever do release any more fics from this point on, they will assuredly be one-shots. I bit off more than I can chew, and the motivation has dried up a bit on me.
Apologies to anyone who enjoyed my story.

I am a bit bummed to see that story cancelled. I do ask that you do not remove it, in the offhand chance you find the means to revive it someday.

It didn't sting, actually. I had the feeling in my head by the time the third chapter rolled around and readers pointed out various flaws in my story. I think I was very lazy regarding this story.

It will stand. There is no reason to pull any fic down, really, even if one were to "quit the fandom". Stories are meant to be enjoyed by everyone, after all, even if they are incomplete.
Well that is disappointing, in all honestly though it's your choice and I respect your choice.
Sorry to hear that. But you're right, there's no point in keep writing a story if you're not enjoying it anymore.
